Worst ending ever. It made no sense for the character, it's like he was transplanted with someone completely different. No final clash with the guy he had been chasing, building up a final meeting for. I feel like the author started writing the first bit, without having any idea how it would end, and maybe rushed the ending...

It was repeated that he’d do things for people to like him, even letting animals bite him so they’d like him. I think it’s really in character.
That's the sad thing about most of these. It's like somebody starts off with a great idea, builds it up for ages, then when things start unfolding they just end the story. This one had such potential. I was like "oh great, another ghost girl in an asylum, how original." But then it was a real girl and there was a murderer on the loose in there, and I was excited. Are they real? Is the guy imagining it? Then in about 2 paragraphs it went all "sike, mole people, fuck you, the end." It doesn't make sense. No amount of people pleasing will convert a rational person into a cave dweller. No murderous underground cult would let somebody talk about them on the internet. No way nobody would get suspicious. Nor would that place still be open if they had that many escapees. Or condemned buildings. Started out good, then the premise fell to pieces, then the author got lazy. Typical reddit.
THANK YOU. That ending was so stupid and just made no goddamn sense, it was also out of character. As soon as he started saying he was entranced by Maryanne’s words it felt like a different writer had taken over, and not a good one. For a story with such an interesting premise, I honestly don’t remember being this let down by a CreepyPasta before.
I assumed the reveal would be that he was actually a patient hallucinating that he was a security guard, which would have made more sense than Suddenly Mole People! Also admitting you're part of a murderous Cannibal Mole People community and having someone post it online for all to read is even sillier
I love the way he reads and his voice.
He knows when to slow down, talk softly, speed up and when to get loud! Makes the story so much better :)
