- Creative use of CV and gate sequencing is one of the cornerstones of modular synthesis. Here we use Detroit Underground's DU-SEQ to get our sounds moving.

This looks like the perfect sequencer for realizing my tangerine dream fantasy!
Phaedra, Rubycon, and Ricochet got me through a few late night PCB routing sessions while designing this beast.
Those are exactly the albums I a was thinking of! I think there was bleedthrough on the carrier signal of your mind.
Looks like a great sequencer! Definitely a contender for me
thanks for this demo ben I plan on adding this module soon.
Masterly executed!
Hey Ben thanks for the overview. I've had this module for a while now and the one frustrating thing is that it doesn't reset "normally". It basically hangs on stage 1 for an extra pulse no matter how I modify or shift the reset pulse. Any tips? Aaron's comments on the MW forum makes me believe this is a design choice. Otherwise I'm loving this sequencer!
Any updates on this? It sounds like a real turn-off for me looking into this.
This LED cables are kinda funky.. l like it.
I bought the metropolis but tbh i think i might even like the look and workflow of this sequencer better and its not quantized all the time which i think is neat half time is somthing the metropolis needs imo
Might be a dumb question but how comparable is this unit from Metropolis? They seem neck and neck for some features
Metropolis alternative?
minus a quantizer and other features like the settable CV inputs
Basically. It can be clocked at audio rate just fine, whereas the Metropolis starts failing around there. That and its non-quantized output makes it more appealing for non-pitch CV.
Thomas Synths thanks for that !
What is the vco and filter at 0.12. Sounds really nice
looks like maybe THE BATELEUR VCO by birdkids??
Is it me or this module looks like tje Intellijel metropolis?
Pretty similar to the metropolis isn't it?
yeah..thats a Metropolis...
How does this compare to the Moskwa from Xaoc?
or the Stillson Hammer MKII
Spend the extra money and get Stillson Hammer mkII, kids. You literally get 4x the power and features.
Sometimes it’s not the features, but the process. But I agree $499 is a lot for what-for me-would be a utility sequencer.
I agree, with a caveat. It's all about process vs price. I'm with you. $499 for one channel of only 8 steps is kind of nuts. May be another case where manufacturer overshot the price.
Yup.
I'm looking at the hammer vs the intellijel metropolis. Those switches seem like awesome fun and you can really play around with it intuitively for unexpected results
Again, I don't know why anyone would buy a 1-track sequencer for $400+ when you can get a 4-track one for ~1.5 times as much..obviously not all the features are the same but..personally, to me the Stillson Hammer is a very MODULAR sequencer with endless uses for both pitch sequencing and cv modulation in myriad ways..the Metropolis was designed as more of a lead-bass SH-101 style sequencer in Danjel's (Intellijel CEO) own words. It's not bad, but given that the 101 itself is a super pared down version of the Roland System 100 etc..anyhow, way more limiting to me.
Module looks great, but having 0-2v as the only option for the CV range is inexplicable. For SOME pitch sequencing that range would be welcome, but is terrible if you are using it as a modulation source.
Also, how does this do at audio rate?
It handles audio rate well.
In retrospect, I regret not finding somewhere to add a switch to increase the CV range (version 2?). I just scale it externally myself.
