ABOUT US: We're Andy and Trai, a gay couple living in Mexico with our rescue jackhuahua, Pattie. After meeting in San Francisco and later moving to Chicago, we decided to quit our jobs in 2021, sell everything, and become two gay expats. Since then, we've been traveling the world and documenting our adventures on UA-cam and our travel blog. Our current home base is Tulum, Mexico-it's where we got married and decided to build a house. Subscribe for the next chapter in our story and our experience moving to Mexico. We hope our adventures inspire your travels and show you what places are really like if you are thinking about living, working, or retiring abroad.

Welcome back, Andy and Trai!
Thank you!!!! ❤️
Great to see you again! My husband and I have been traveling the world since August 2020. We've been all over Mexico and are currently in QRO. Thanks for your authenticity and pride! Happy Pride month!
That’s awesome, thank you, and congrats to you guys as well ❤️
Yeh, you guys are back!
Yes, super happy to be back!! 🙌
I watched your residency videos before moving and getting my own. Huge help throughout the process. Even did it in Playa w/ facilitator same as you I think.
Missing mexico right now stuck in states watching this D:
Awesome!! Thanks for sharing!! We’re so glad we did it too!!! 🙌
Merci for your quality videos.
Our pleasure, merci beaucoup!! 🙏
Great info on residency and health care! Subscribing now. Hope you guys didn’t have to burn through too many takes to get this delivered perfectly. I struggle with delivery when doing 2 minute clips when doing video game tutorials. 😄
So cute, true, and too accurate made us laugh! And thank you!!! 🙏
Canadians here, the info is equally useful. Thanks.
Thank you 🙏❤️
Thank you for this post, what are your thoughts about People with HIV and getting adequate medical care and medicines?
We would point you to “Puerto Vallarta Gays” FB Group to search for this topic or ask again. There are 37k local and foreign gays who are more knowledgeable than us on this important topic! Great question!
My husband and I are thinking about the possibility of retiring to Mexico, but we have no idea where to begin. It all seems so overwhelming.
Agreed, to be fair, it is a lot of information to research. For starters, I’d recommend booking 1-3 months if not a year in your shortlist spots. If you like it, and want to make it more permanent, you’ll meet lots of people who have done it already to help you. We had a great group of neighbors help us learn the ropes!
Would you guys talk more in deep about healthcare costs? Food, housing? Budgeting and so forth. Thanks
We’ve been meaning to do more on housing but have yet to formally close on our house. In terms of healthcare, we do have a video for you: PRIVATE HEALTHCARE IN MEXICO - Our First Trip to the Emergency Room

happy pride month guys ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜👬
Thank you! 🌈 ❤️
Hi I'm colombian and live in the states, have you guys visited Colombia 🇨🇴? I think you will love it too, food and everything else is cheap, best wishes always. ✌️
Omg absolutely love Colombia 🇨🇴 but visited before we started the channel! Cartagena (Rosario Islands 🤩), Bogota, and Medellín! Would love to go back!! ❤️
My partner and I are visiting Mexico for 3 weeks in October and we’d love to meet y’all! This video is very inspiring for us fellow gay world travelers!
Thank you!! Hope you guys have a great trip! Message us on Instagram closer to the date!
Hey guys…thanks for your video and channel. We are also a couple but live in CDMX. We are very happy here and walk several kilometers everyday to the Gym, restaurants and parks. And the weather here in Mexico City is Great! It never gets too Hot and never gets too 2:17 Cold!
Living here is a practical base for exploring the world. We also have a travel channel on Utube:
Hiking the Blue Planet
Thanks again for your video and best wishes!
Andrew and Tiger
Thanks! We love CDMX and our extended stays there! So much to explore! 🙌 Any favorite hikes in Mexico?
I found a documentary here on youtube explaining that the american dream died in the early 90's.
Love your channel, if you come back to Bogota I'd love to show you around our huge gay scene. The biggest in the Americas!
Thank you! Love Bogota and Colombia!! We hope to return!
It is beautiful but you really have to be careful there, much more so than the US. It is probably okay to move there as a couple, but as a single person I would not.
We read some interesting statistics recently that it’s safer in Mexico for Americans than in the U.S. Unfortunately, that’s not true for Mexican citizens in Mexico-it’s more dangerous for them. We’re thinking of making a video on that topic as it’s very fascinating the perception and how the US Media covers Mexico versus reality. 🤔
@@TwoGayExpats Interesting. You'd think Americans would be targeted more because they are perceived have $$. I remember living in South America and always guarding my stuff and worrying about getting robbed.
'WE ain't old, but yo old azz gon' be ok'. 😄
Hahaha 🤣
I’ve been seeing more and more videos like this. Not just Mexico, but many countries. It seems that the dream is to leave your country.
Is Same-sex marriage legal in Mexico, and if not, are Same-sex marriages from other countries recognized and honored in Mexico. For the single (near retirement age) gay man, is Mexico living safe and comfortable? Thank you so much!
Here’s all the info! twogayexpats.com/destinations/mexico
And yes, we think Mexico is a safe and welcoming place. Definitely rent a place for a few months to decide if it’s right for you.
Welcome!
You should visit Guadalajara city. Also a great LGBT+ city
It’s on the top of our list! Can’t wait!!
