Thank you! They are vintage Frye boots and I've been wearing them non-stop. And thank you for calling out my pup, he's the best. He always seems to find his way into my videos, which is a fun surprise.
@@noahs4058 It depends on the scarf's fabric, but for the more slippery fabrics, I typically add a couple of pins on the side. I prefer more decorative pins, but a classic bobby pin would work. 😍
Wow, so many great finds and you do an excellent job styling them. BTW, I have lived in NC since 2017, and this is the warmest fall since I have lived here :).
Thank you so much! And thank you for the reassurance that this isn't a typical fall. I was a bit surprised because everyone told me there were 4 seasons.
I love the esprit ( pronounced “uh-spree” )jacket with fringe. I used to wear that brand a lot and love finding it In The thrift stores. You have such great style!
Thank you! Yeah, I realized I pronounced it incorrectly when I was rewatching the video. I grew up with that brand so I'm very familiar with it. My partner and I had a good laugh at my mistake when we rewatched the video. Sometimes you just get a bit of brain fog.
Esprit is pronounced Uh- spree..I wore it in my teens in the mid 80s. Français brand. It's from the late 60s and later hit mega Malls (new ways to shop (in 70-80s) next to Victoria Secret and United colors of Benetton, Levi's, and GAP!
Thank you! I appreciate the correction. Ironically, I grew up with that brand and it was very trendy when I was a kid. You can tell in the video, I know that's not correct. It wasn't until later when I was watching the video that I realized that. My partner and I had a good laugh at it. Sometimes (especially as you get older), your brain has a bit of fog from time to time.
Thank you so much! Yes, they are incredible pieces. That's what I love about pre-loved and vintage pieces, you can always find the best and most unique finds.
New friend here, I just found your channel with this video popping in my feed, so glad it did! Wow, that flea market looked amazing - so fun! It seems like NC is the place to be for vintage shopping!! My bestie would steal that embroidered jacket from you, lol. I love the B&W houndstooth jacket - you can style it so many ways.
Hi! Thank you so much for checking out my channel. The market was excellent. I've lived in Cali (central and southern), Boston, and Charlotte, and they have all had such incredible vintage scenes. They are so different but great in their own way. Aren't these jackets great?! I hope the weather cools down more so I can start wearing some of these jackets. And yes, I totally agree with you on the versatility of the Houndstooth jacket.
Wow love your style! What fantastic finds by the way, ESPRIT was a favorite of mine for years, they had an outlet shop in Gilroy CA. In CA we always said Esprit the e as in eh sound , sprit pronounced like the word spree. I'm old and have been wearing Esprit since the 80's 🤣 Wishing I could find jackets like you did but in Northern CA. 🥰
Thank you! I appreciate the call out. I knew in the video that wasn't quite right. It wasn't until I posted and rewatched the video that I realized that. Interestingly enough I grew up with that brand. My partner and I had a good laugh about it later. I'll just chalk it up to a bit of brain fog that comes with age. I know the Gilroy outlets. I lived in California (SLO, SD, LA) for over 20 years. I found this jacket on Depop, so I just did a brand search when I was looking for the jacket.
@@TheRELMCo I have been looking for a specific sweater and a pair of pants that I am sure are still out there in the wild, that brand was made well back in the day!
@@lepeicious Oh, I just thought of this, but if you don't use the Gem app, you should. You can save a search with the brand (Esprit), and it will send you weekly finds from that brand across the internet. I highly recommend it. gem.app/ 🤩
Just found your channel and subscribed. Loved how you styled the track jacket! Esprit was very, very popular when I was in HS in the 80's. Loved it from afar as it was sadly out of my price range, same with Benetton, still associate those brands as related due to that. Never stumble across vintage pieces in thrift stores...so far.
Thank you for subscribing! Esprit was popular when I was a kid too and I also wasn't able to afford it. I find that I can acquire those brands at vintage markets and online more than in thrift stores. It might be more common in smaller thrift stores, but less likely in larger chains.
@@janettetait4076 Oh, yes! I wear my vintage cowboy boots all the time. I sprinkle Western vibes throughout some of my style videos, but I'll make a video explicitly showcasing Western style (or at least my take on Western style). 🤩
I so miss the Raleigh weekly market at the fairgrounds since I moved away! So many good treasures. Where are your boots from. In the 60s paisley dress? New subscriber looking forward to more style videos!
Hi and thank you so much for subscribing. The Raleigh market was incredible, so many great vendors and I really appreciate the careful curation of vintage pieces. My boots are vintage Frye boots. I got them on Poshmark. They have some on Depop as well. I would recommend going up a half size. They run really narrow.
Thank you! I appreciate the correction. I realized that error when I was rewatching the video. I grew up with that brand so it's comical that I mispronounced it. I'm going to chalk it up to brain fog.
@TheRELMCo thanks for being cool. It's an older Boomer brand and every young thrifter mispronouces it. I took a chance that you'd be receptive and I am now a subscriber xo
Thank you! I realized I pronounced it wrong when I rewatched the video. I grew up with that brand, so not quite sure what was going on there. My partner and I had a good laugh about it later.
You make me smile when I watch your videos!! Your love for what you are doing really shines through!
