Anyhow, I bought an antique radio with ornate wood work and was contemplating how to strip it without getting a potty mouth like you doing plumbing and discovered that soda blasting is surprisingly affordable to diy. I already have an air compressor but even if you didnt you can rent one for a day for 50 bucks or less and the soda blaster is less than 100 bucks at harbor freight.
