I took typing my freshman year of highschool 1st period and im 43 and easily still type 70+ wpm. By far the most useful class i ever took. Highschool n college papers, im an accountant, all my notes in excel n word. As Troy said, emails. It was 1994, so it was a typewriter as well which to me is harder than computer. Still remember the teacher was a 40 year old black lady with glasses, hottest chick in class was Felicia. That's something we use almost every day n my mom was a dispatcher so she had a bunch of books for me to practice with.
