There was not much rush for Study permit. She got study permit in exactly one hour landing time 2.00 PM at Montreal. Study permit received by 3 PM. Only one or two questions asked. Only Letter of Introduction was asked. Then she collected checked in suitcases. And rechecked in at Air Canada counter for next flight at 6.15 PM. All staff was friendly and helpful.

Nothing like this ... Study permit/immigration process is always completed at your first landing in Canada, even if your final destination is somewhere else in Canada. You dont need any other visa too

You can do. It is optional. Even if you dont do, the same questions are filled up on the kiosk.
