the original madness combat series ( by krinkels ) should have been like this, normal A.T.PS and agents put up an actual fight instead of them just dying, original madness combat would have been more fun and interesting if krinkles did this
I like how the engies know basic combat dodges and maneuvers, while the soldats can dodge a lot, even if they aren't as impressive as the two from Teleport Interference. Even if they get cut down anyway I feel they should at least have their advantages over regular agents emphasized. Also how the music starts as a reference to Apotheosis but the moment the former MERC enters the music suddenly switches to the Project MERC motif
canonically the engineers were tooled up as leaders of agent groups, where the soldats are specifically hit troops. Soldats are tougher, engineers are better leaders.
I absolutely loved how the protagonist isn't some literally impossible to hit OP badass, and how the enemies aren't literal stormtroopers and have actual brains and know how to aim, this makes the animation even more badass than all the generic ones. Also the memes in the posters were hilarious xD
This is like the first time dialogue in madnes wasnt cringey and was actually a nice addition to the movie. Movie itself, also quite nice, fluid animstion and decent artwork
@vais ruv Animation takes a hell of a time. Also, madness day is a yearly event where people submit their madness tributes to honour madness combat and there's a prize pool for the top voted animations. Happens annually on 22 September.
This in my eyes was a fucking masterpiece. The animations improved ,combat improved, and I love how people are making it where enemies are putting up a fight and some more so than others. Also love the mix between combat and story elements with the little bit of memes splashed in. Great job can't wait for part 3 happy madness day 2021
Love the calm nature of the main character here, through most of the animation their movement is calm and precise, casually going about things as if it was another Tuesday. The only exceptions to this being after his metal chestpiece gets shot and after the helicopter escapes where he shows notable rage, something that seems to majorly throw off his game as both times he proceeds to quickly make a costly mistake with the first being a sudden drop kick that leaved them prone during a battle and the second allowing a surprise attack to happen from behind It is real great characterization tbh
I really like how the higher ranked agents are actually shown as being competent adversaries. They dont just stand their and take the bullet, they dodge, roll, evade, and i even saw an engineer do first aid on himself to get back into the fight. Really good details!
The animation was great overall. Although there is always room for improvement. The walking animations kind of feel stiff, you can try some walking animation tutorials to see if that helps, other than the walking bit; the animation is magnificent. Plus, love the callbacks to old madness episodes; great job.
2:20- That one engineer in the back, cool had he had his own unique animations instead of just dying, checked on his ally, got shot, did a StimPack, then died but still. 👌🏻👍🏻
1:51 that right there is my favorite part of this entire animation. There are so many animations and games where the protagonist doesn't use a human shield but look how effective that is! He's saving his armor by giving himself shiftable cover like any real person would!
Ngl the way animation changed for the past, is awesome, I loved the reference at the end where engineer performed Sanfords standard poses in helicopter, same for the beginning where the protagonist did the reference with Hank killing grunts with his car, the soundtrack is also very sick and enjoyable to listen.
I have to say, from the first movie, your skill as an animator really improved. The movement is more fluid, the fights are entertaining, its just a great package. Grats!
I like it because you are one of the few who gives prominence to special agents (The Yellow Blood Classics) in addition to highlighting their skills, making them difficult to kill. Well done.
This is super good! You've come a long way since part 1 and it shows. A little detail I really liked was how you made the automatic shotgun really FEEL heavy.
I really do love it when armor is included in animations... and actually DOES something, since usually it's treated as effectively just a visual sprite without doing all that much. (Aside from GOLEM, and some MAG agents, aka the big ass armor plates where that's the whole gimmick of those enemies)
this is such an amazing animation I M U S T of watched this at least 20 times over the 7 months of it being posted and i just wait for part 3 to come out and see the chaos that will happen
I think this one was far less stiff than the first installment, but for your first animation it was very well done. You really worked out most of the kinks in this one with movement and combat.
I love how this man pulled out the apotheosis intro from the original madness series and I think another moment from a different episode like around when deimos and sanford were introduced as characters
I saw some of the references to the original series like the intro. The intro was an obvious reference to Madness Combat 2 and when it was transitioning to where the character is (through the window) I think it was a reference to the train scene during Madness Combat 6. And the helicopter escape scene was also a reference to Madness Combat 5.5 or Madness Combat 8 during the "Sanford and Deimos" time.
just a qyick tip. deagles or otherwise known as deasert eagles can punch through engin blocks a body wont stop a deagle bullet. lots of love, the gun expert
The detail of Protag having his skills even without mind control was cool, only reason he didn't use em last time was because he was disoriented and a bit confused
i loved the memes in the posters

That ending tho.

I love a good throwback to madness combat 4 in the very beginning. It nice to have this sequel up and running.
