    Eric was the best coach I had at XC. It was 2010 and he had one or two classes and he taught chokes, guillotine's. Nick gave everyone one on one time and was really sincere about making us better. I like the half point deduction for EACH infraction. Everyone knows the rules!

    If refs were hard on eyepokes, like taking points right away from people who have a "habit"... Jon Jones would have to finish every fight, cause he is the worst offender in the UFC. He'd get two-three points struck in nearly every fight.

    based on what Eric says about Sean’s fighting style and tactics ensures to me that I know exactly what I’m talking about.
    Especially Sean’s random last 5th round 30 second intensity of the fight like where he dropped Costa. I remember saying the exact same thing that he should do that earlier in the fights to sway it into more of his momentum. That being said if Sean is disciplined and obedient in what Eric Nickslick says I think he can win the fight against DDP. If not I believe Dricus will take advantage of being the one who initiates the forward pressure against Sean landing damage and capitalizing on Sean’s idleness in defense. Sean’s defensive style is just a way to keep himself in a safe spot where he defends so easily with so little energy whilst his opponent gasses out as they attack. Sean could balance out being more aggressive and offensive

    • @sethsolopow3226
      @sethsolopow3226 8 днів тому +2

      I've been thinking the same since the Costa fight too. But this interview gave me confidence. I agree with everything Eric said, but especially with going hard in bursts at the start, middle, and end of each round. Sean's style is good at negating damage and landing volume, but Dricus just overwhelmed it to land slightly more damage(debatably) which gave him the close rounds. Sean's Problem is That he didn't have enough big moments. He'd win most parts of the rounds early, but then Dricus would go hard at the end and steal them. It's like how Eric always talks about optics when Sean is fighting. He just Needs a few more of those to drastically improve his Chance of getting the decision. Not to disrespect Dricus, but I truly believe this fight is decided on what Sean shows up. We've never seen him in rematches so we don't know what he'll do. If he shows up with no adjustments, he'll probably lose. But if he shows up and listens to a couple of these things that Eric said, I think he wins. I also think Sean didn't really know who he was Fighting. Going into the first fight, we all thought Dricus had a shit gas tank and was just lucky. But we saw how good he was when Sean Fought him. So Now having fought him already, I think Sean will have a better idea of how Dricus fights. On the other hand, Dricus can make some adjustments too, but I believe he fought Sean almost the best way that he could. His team definitely studied Sean hard, while Sean really didn't. The main worry is Sean's mentality. But if the stuff that Eric was quoting Sean on in this interview is true, it sounds like Sean recognized where he went wrong which is important. I guess we have go wait for fight week to see how Sean talks about the fight so we can see if he's dialed in or not

They both make humorous banter back and forth like a good comedy team. And Anthony Smith isn't funny and doesn't have that comedic chemistry with Bisping. I personally dont understand how with the literal billions that the UFC is worth now, how they have never invested in VAR like Hawkeye (same as they use for Wimbledon tennis etc) and instal it around the Octagon, and when there is a fence grab, it automatically lets the ref know, and he can pause the fight, review the footage, and go from there. It surely can be used for almost all offences in the cage. How are we living in 2025 when there are literally flying cars, but the UFC still uses a few dudes to score fights, and referee, but nothing else. Invest in a VAR system like Hawkeye, tie it into the production team and referee, adjust the rule set, and I totally agree with the half point system, or even a yellow card system where you get a point on the next offence following a yellow card.

      @jimmiems8815 nahh mate I'm sure you've been sitting on your coach for a long time but I've actually been in a boxing gym and in an mma gym.
      The technique for throwing punches is definitely slightly different.
      Major clue for your dumb ass is that mma fighters aren't wearing shoes

    Islam is even more dominant than khabib and actually finishes every fight but there's weight classes for a reason. I don't think he does well at 185, just too small.

      Islam is huge. I remember when Usman fought Chimaev at 185lbs and Usman met Islam back stage. Islam was noticably bigger than Usman. Islam walks around at 200+ lbs.

      Whilst I don't disagree with the match up, ain't no Khamzat fighting another fight for a title shot.
