none of the coatings are necessary, especially for home use. I do like the DLC a lot, just stays nice and clean. Tastes the same as the uncoated versions of the same burr.
I will receive this grinder this week with a new espresso machine, I am a noob in coffe world, so to make a espresso what will be a good start point to use the grinder? Maybe between 10/15? Thanks

8-15 should work as a starting point. Wide adjustment, id probably start like 12 and go from there.
