    The smartest thing S&S did was acquiring the Arrow properties. That opened up worlds for them and very smartly gave them continuous work providing parts for aging Arrow coasters and attractions. I would love my home park SFMM to get an AXIS. There are a few places in the park it could go. And your number 1 here is on my list as a Bucket List coaster as are the coasters in China.

      @@psychopompinc.646 Me too, we've been waiting so long it's ridiculous. Honestly, I hope this Six Flags Cedar Fair thing happens and they put an acis on each one of their lowest performing parks to draw in larger crowds. The Axis Coasters have the potential to elevate those parks to the next level.

    Eejanaika is practically perfect and I laughed and screamed all the way through. On my last trip to the States in 2010 (I'm British and haven't managed to get back over there since) I did X2 and had mixed feelings, while my dad flat out didn't like it and said it made him feel ill for the rest of the day. Both of us, in stark contrast, adored Eejanaika and it was so much smoother and so much better.

    I got lucky enough to experience Eejanaika this summer, and man did reviews not lie. It's an absolute intimidating, body ripping and positive g flippin' machine. The extra momentum from the pre-drop, flipping you right over that 90 degree drop is like nothing else.

    I am honestly in SHOCK that nobody has built an S&S Axis coaster yet. To me, that's the most exciting coaster model that's actually ready to go that has yet to be built. I REALLY, REALLY wish Kings Island would build one in the old Vortex plot. That plot has always been a really good presentation plot, one of the best in the park, and it's always been home to ground breaking rides... First the Original Bat, then Vortex. I just think it would be the perfect ride for that plot as well as the perfect plot for that ride. I just think the Axis is a really exciting concept. I so wish I could go ride the prototype. You should see if they'd let you run a contest for a subscriber to come down and ride it lol. It really does surprise me though that some park hasn't jumped on this thing already... I can understand why Cedar Fair might be a little iffy about an S&S prototype after Hypersonic at Kings Dominion... but, I would have thought six flags would have jumped all over it.

    Was shocked to find out they only have 40 or so coasters out there, considering the absolute variety of models. Models like Galeforce and the El Locos should be giving Gerstlauer a run for their money and be popping up clones in every park with a few million to spend, and yet no such luck.

    It’s the only one I’ve done but it’s still worthy of the number one spot regardless, it had upside down airtime man oh my god I’ll never forget that moment, I counted 4 flips but it might have been more. I didn’t even want to ride it a second time cuz it would’ve been different, I almost put this thing over Twisted Timbers!
    That moment I got ejected into my restraint while facing the ground was the first time a roller coaster has scared me im years!
    That might have been a one in a million ride from what I’ve heard about freespins 😅

    Don't be too confident in Eejanaika Taylor! I actually prefer Dinoconda to Eejanaika. Dinoconda has a longer train and I think it made quite a noticeable difference in how the first drop feels in the very back row. Eejanika does have that one additional tilting when you slam into the breaks though. But after all they are almost identical (Eejanaika definitely has the better view) and my opinion of them could very well be the result of how these two rides were running when I rode them.

  • @OklahomaCoasterFan
    @OklahomaCoasterFan 10 місяців тому

    I can confirm how crazy Dragon Slayer is. I typically will ride a free spin just for the credit, and maybe a 2nd ride if there's no line, but with Dragon Slayer, I just kept on riding. I also rode it more than anything else on my last visit. I did it 10x on both my days there this year.
    Steel Curtain is my current favorite, as I had a great experience with it, and Maxx Force was a nightmare for me just to get on. Dragon Slayer is actually my # 2. But Eejanaika would definitely become my # 1 if I ever get on it, with how much I love X2.

    So I am a bit confused. If Eejanaika FIXED all the issues with X2, why weren't any more built ? Is it prohibitively expensive, or do parks think it is just too intense for the average park goer & not worth the investment ? In fact I could say the same for other models on this list as well. It seems that they do build coasters, but they are pretty spread out and not a lot of them (save the 4d free spin.) I would agree that the Axis looks amazing, I am just worried it will suffer the same fate.

    • @OklahomaCoasterFan
      @OklahomaCoasterFan 10 місяців тому

      What's interesting is that Maxx Force cheats by barely getting you passed 135 degrees 3 times, and barely pulling you out of the inversion a couple times to try and pad the inversion count, and rcdb doesn't cry foul on those. But when Steel Curtain kind of does it, rcdb cries foul and robs them of an inversion. If Maxx Force has 5, then not only does Steel Curtain have 9, but Storm Chaser has 3 (overbank over 135 degrees), and Iron Gwazi has 3 (overbank over 135 degrees). If rcdb was just as harsh on Maxx Force, it would only have 2 inversions.

Especially since I can’t tolerate the rotations on S&S free spins
