  • mTOR Signalling and Regulation by the Lysosome
In this video, mTOR signaling is explained in a step-by-step powerpoint lesson. Regulation of mTOR signaling by the lysosome is also explained.
Hey guys! In this video, I teach you about lysosomes and mTOR signalling and how lysosomes regulate mTOR signaling. Please let me know what you guys think. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!

Thank you for making this video! Although I'm Japanese and not very good at listening to English, I could listen to you and understand review about mTOR that took me hours due to your clear explanation.
    わかりやすい説明でした。また、はっきりと話してくれたため日本人の僕でも聞き取ることができました。mTORに関してはreviewを読むだけでも大変だったので、この動画を見れて良かったです。ありがとうございました。

    Thank you so much!!!
    "it's complicated" Yes, and beautiful!
For protein synthesis to occur the regulators must be inhibited, both 4EBP1 and eEF2K. These are like locks that have to be unlocked by being inhibited to allow the initiation and elongation of protein synthesis to occur.

I did laugh at 10.33 'it's kind of complicated" So up until then it was easy? It's all very complicated to me but extremely fascinating and informative.

So, I think you're saying the amino acids liberated in the lysosome become nutrients, which keep the autophagy from running amok.

I guess I’ll be watching a lot of other videos since he says many times, “I’ll get to that in another video.” 👍🤔

so the lysosome is more of a recycling bin then a garbage can.
