Hi QuirkyHat, thanks for the nice comments! Good to see some viewing of my older videos actually does happen, I from time to time look at earlier videos.. just such a shame for many the sound is scratchy. Thanks again :)
Who knows maybe one day I will drive them again, but currently there are none at Roskill Depot. Oh cool, nice to hear, and thank you! Oh I had no idea that the enviro200's were on the their way out in Wellington. Maybe like Auckland, I believe they were too small for the contract requirements. Well somebody will be getting rather new buses elsewhere, they possibly could end up with another bus company in Wellington :)
Love these videos so much! I have been dreaming to be a bus driver when I grow up! These videos give me the experience of driving a bus! (In a way) Please do keep doing them, I love them!
Hi, thanks for the nice comments! As a kid I was fascinated by buses too, well yes some of the videos put you almost in the drivers seat. I will try to keep them going for as long as possible, some repetition is one problem.. only so much you can show before it becomes to much of the same haha. Thanks again :)
I keep watching these pre West Auckland contract videos when everyone had their unique liveries and kick myself for not getting back into recording and photographing buses in West Auckland sooner.
I also think the same, but I kick myself more for not taking pics of the buses back in the Yellow Bus Company days. It like, here today, gone tomorrow!
I can't wait for nzbus to take over the contact in tauranga I will be happy to see my favorite buses ADL E200 around tauranga 5 ex trolleybuses. Some buses from nzbus Auckland.
Jack Turner hi not yet but if an do come this way will certainly tell you. Appearance wise the newer is much better looking particularly the 3 axle stretched one, I’ve been a passenger once on one an was very nice but have heard a few negative comments from drivers but nothing too bad 👍😀
I know this video is pretty old, but as a passenger it seems like the ADL200 with the Alison transmission seems to have the best acceleration.. as a driver which buses do you think accelerate fastest? Im 49 amd waa a bit of a boyracer when i was younger though use buses a lot more these days
Yes filmed some years ago, oh these were pretty quick tho with time I felt many got sluggish. They did pick up quicker than other buses I drove in general tho some of the Scania K270 were very quick too! Mostly comfort over speed for me, the MAN 17.223 was my favourite to drive especially the earlier 1400 numbered fleet :)
Different perspective instead of a passenger filming it's the driver! I love it definitely one of the most unique bus videos I've ever seen.

I absolutely love the enviro 200 so much
Hi, cool.. happy you can see a few of them through my videos. I no longer drive them. :)

James Peter we are getting electric battery buses and 10 Double Deckers so hopefully Wellington will be like Auckland’s Network
I have heard about the electric buses.. I hope they can handle Wellington's terrain! Yes seems similar to Auckland's recent transport changes :)
James Peter yes, especially Routes 8 13 14 20 21 22 23 28 30 32 43 44 45 46 47

James Peter I totally agree with that, everything changes very quickly around here
Sometimes too quick :)

Tristan Benge certainly will bring on something different to ride, an that is always an interesting moment. Cool 👍😀
I know this is an older video, but I've always wondered what the little music note icon is, just to the left of the RPM gauge?
Jack Turner good question, I can’t recall or ever seeing it light up. Next time I drive an enviro200 I’ll look a lil more closely 👍
James Peter thanks! Have you driven one of the new facelift 3 axle ALD busses? If so how similar are they to the older ones?
