Hi, I’m an old man living living in San Diego, Ca. and just now taking sewing classes to learn how to sew men’s clothing. At time stamp 8:10 you said something like this… “make sure you push in your pocket. Don’t sew on your pocket”. I didn’t understand this part. Why have the pocket piece there in that step at ll then? In other words, why not just attach the underlining to the main fabric first, without the pockets? Is it because you want the underlining to hide the pocket princes? If that’s the case, that you want to hide the pocket pieces, then do you make sure the you’re cutting the underlining long enough? You had cut it 3 inches lower than the crotch point, but I wasn’t sure if the 3 inches was long enough to cover the whole pocket up or not. Just before cutting the two layers of underlining , why does the folded underling have have to be wrong side up? Wouldn’t I still end up with to underlining pieces to fit the wrong side of both fronts so the underling can be attached to the Fronts wrong side to wro g sides? You call this lining. Here in the States I’m learning that lining is something a little different and is constructed separately, and added later like a second skin, whereas UNDER-lining (what you showed, is done by attaching it to the main fabric from the beginning, and treating it as one layer. I noticed you cut the underlining without considering the direction of the selvage (the warp), do you think it’s not important? I have a Clapper, a tool similar to yours. A piece of wood to absorb the moisture after pressing/ironing for a more professional and foster press/look. But I forget to use it half the time. Do you notice a difference, when you use it? Then if we it's okay to lining both back and front pants, can you do video on how to put lining on both back and front pieces? Thank you, I look forward to seeing that video
