I'm an old mad city player but i don't really miss chapter one. I think some aspects of chapter one were good but when chapter two came out i thought it was a really great update and improved heists and vehicles a lot. It is dead but i will still enjoy it.
Same here. I have to say that heists used to be pretty dead and repetitive, especially the bank robbery. Now it's not even comparable to the current state.
The game became much more fun, and grinding is much less boring and a lot more effective.

Me too season 5 I got to level 100 for the first time and in season 6 mad city was involved in the last egg hunt which was nice and I got the Giotto which is still one of my fav cars

I like the game. I agree with you by defending ch 2 because of refreshed robberies and even new ones. I just got the Buzzard today too! And I hope ch 1 comes back! Oh yeah just to let you know Schwifty Studios is working on a new game and they said if it does good they will continue MadCity!
I remember also these tryhard times on hyperglider with awp in chapter 1. Honestly it makes me even cry a little bit that mad city is dead. So as the all robbery games pretty much

yeah basically. the only alive robbery game is jailbreak, but soon it will go down as well because of no competitors. hopefully with gta 6 there will be a new competitor for jailbreak

I disagree. When development is resumed, it's gonna be a blast.
Everyone will come back to the game eventually after a year of emptiness.
The same case is for Geometry Dash which didn't get a single update for 7 years and completely blew up after release of 2.2 (difference is that GD had an already active playerbase before the update since the game is based on user-generated content)
@@usibistro they're only gonna update the game if project kf does good. the game won't release for about a year, and it won't be priority, and project kf isn't guaranteed to succeed. Plus why tf were you referring to gd that game is for like 8 year olds

yeah its pretty annoying that this game died,its the first roblox game i played and this is where i got my first roblox friends,this era will be missed
if mad city comes back it’d be best for them to make like small new cool. Features like jetoack upgrades ,birds ,traps ,maybe even a heist creator wich would spin the most liked community made robbery each hour or two,a new detective role solving mysteries, these are the types of updates that these games need
I cant lie in those heist systems its still gonna be pretty boring grinding for money . in my opninion they should add the GTA 5 heist system , it would acctualy make it more engaging and more worth the while to do the heists
i really hope their new game succeeds so they can start working on mad city again. im currently grinding on 2 accounts for rank 125 after being semi-inactive for 1 year and its the only game im playing on roblox rn

its pretty sad to see the inevitable fall of mad city. i remember during the roblox egg hunt 2020 event is when i first joined the game. (sometime early april 2020), and playing it nonstop in july 2020. i then quit, returned in july 2021, quit again, then returned in spring 2022. at that time the game was still holding up, reaching about 15-20k players every day. even during summer right before the live event the game would reach about 13k every day. but once ch.2 came out, the game fell apart in player count, up until now.
If they bring back chapter 1 mad city will be revived

Man chapter one has some really good boss fights mua mua being the easiest if you used voltrons power and the return of cluck daddy boss fight that we dont talk about being the worst because only 4 people in a public could do that fight because you needed to be a cop and first cluck fight was alright i sadly couldn't do the first fight but the boss fights were goated
Mad city does have potential but it needs to be consistent to guarantee that 30k-40k daily players like back then ngl chapter 2 is way better then chapter 1 in terms of designs but as of right now the game is crashing out i havent played mad city in a long time i started playing it again in summer 2024 but im not gonna play it like back then

@@phantom.888 frrr like dude I miss the old time soooo much when I played with my brother on some high rank server and we were like the only rank 50 or some like that and he killed them all in prison 😂😭 IT WAS SO MUCH FUN and all thought the chapter 2 update gonna be fire and it’s fire and so but the gun system is just like jailbreak it soooo ass
they need money so they can pay moderators to make updates and stuff , but the game has died so i think were close to see mad city last downfall :(

Whoa, before this new map, new mobility and other things, the game was much better and the game could be played even on computers with low power, whoa, I had everything, I had what I wanted, with a bug, cars, people, sometimes I didn't even spend money, things could be good at the beginning, bad In the end, I had my rpg, I killed quickly, there were no bugs, now with this new update I think it got worse, they could have put everything in now that they're putting it in, but with the same scene, the old police game killed criminals, right, big guy, now I need to arrest you, and prison is much easier to escape, hero, forget it You need to go around Caracas to get to the city, you can't even use weapons, that's it, I think it was stupid that they took away criminal base protections a lot of the time, the game is wrong
i started playing in early 2022,and what i can say is that mad city chapter 2 is not bad,but ch1is better,mostly beacause of the pvp

I'm still dragging around the old Mad City, but I like the second chapter, in some ways the game has really improved. I really hope that the game will not be abandoned, and the authors will continue to develop
So, the game didn't actually die; it's the community's fault. The people who really wanted Chapter 2 were mainly those who played the original season, but the game continued with the same content throughout the seasons. For example, in Fortnite, turbo building wasn't available in Season 1. The PvP and combat mechanics in Fortnite Chapter 1 evolved with each season, but the Chapter 2 PvP didn't change from what it was in Season X. Even now, I don't see any differences, with normal and classic guns.
Returning to the community status, the Mad City community isn't dead. They tried remaking Chapter 1, and Classic Mad City attracted more players than Chapter 2 (Chapter 2 had 1.3k players, while ClassicMCY had 1.5k). This was a big deal for Schwifty Studios-they saw how Chapter 1 could draw a larger player base than the current game. The original experience was closed, but it returned. However, the Chapter 1 remakes are now illegal to create since they announced the official comeback of Chapter 1.
As of now, there are no plans to bring back Chapter 1. Why? Because they want to focus on creating content for Chapter 2 first. Once they generate enough revenue, they might consider paying Perhapz again to fix Chapter 1 for a potential re-release in the future. However, things took a drastic turn, and now they are focusing on launching a new game, possibly under Schwifty Studios or another group. We don't know much about the new game yet, other than eli and max sneek peeks on twitter/X, but there are theories that it could be inspired by K.A.T. or other murder games on Roblox.
If this new game, "Project KF," succeeds, they plan to hire new developers for Mad City and potentially save the game. Season 4 probably won't be another winter season since they have shifted their focus to this new project + this update was made by max.
Also, when they made this new clean update, Mad City had an active player base of 4-5k because they removed the A.I profile picture and the game returned to normal again. Honestly, I would suggest creating some boss fight events; the same events tab they used for the winter and Valentine updates could be used for the boss fight tasks. This would attract more players. But hey, maybe 2025 is the Mad City comeback year, who knows?
I think chapter 2 is very good and much better than 1 chapter, but mfny players don`t like things at this game: old jew- common, it's reaaly good heist, like bank and casino. But now the most longest and the coolest heists very short and they needed only for grinding. And i don't like new map and "new" prison. The beginning of 2 chapter was so cool, it was one of the best game of roblox. I`m really sad, because I began playing mad city in 2019 from 2 or 3 season and i don't want see die of my favourite game. I don't think game will comeback, but I want
This comment is justn true. Despite its flaws, early chapter 2 was in my opinion one of the best eras for mad city. The problem is everything changed too quickly and the community wasn't used to it, that's why it flopped.
All the attemps to bring back chapter 1 features (J store, prison) only gave the game a really inconsistent style and killed it even more. I wouldn't be mad at all if the game was reversed to the way it was 1.5 years ago.
I regret not playing in chapter 1 but I would say it's great for me and probably others too but then they should also bring the old map back just like fortnite but in this case they should remove those police npcs

All I hope is chapter one back with the expansion of the map before the purple fog and my save file, maybe in another game separate from the base game or that they put Chapter 1 back on the base game
in my opinion chapter 2 was the worst thing that have happend for mad city at the start of chapter 2 it had 100 k players then after 3 weeks it had like 11 k players and right now 3.2 k players
Chapter 2 just needs minor fixes to make it a perfect game imo.

I don’t really find chapter 2 being bad, it’s better scripted, the map is better, it looks nicer and I prefer it way more than chapter 1. The only reason why the game died is due to the excessive bugs and glitches

Bro I came back and they silently did changes to Cobra and Blackout
Blackout:
Now Blackout didn’t change much but the changes are the nerfed turret doing to 7 however the turret is buffed and its extremely fast (Prob same speed as terminator)
Cobra:
Cobra changed heavily. The rocket ammo increase but the damage on rockets are VERY VERY VERY NERFED, going around 6 damage and the accuracy got nerfed heavily as well. And the turret only lists one change and it’s that it became very slow. So uh yeah this vehicle is trash and needs either a cash drop down or a buff.

I totally agree with everything you've said. But as an og player, chapter two made the game very laggy on both laptops and mobile devices, making it practically unplayable.
