hello mi michaela may i ask for advice , i just finished my 3rd year cs in lebanese university i was thinking of swtiching my degree to pure math or applied math with stat , as my main interest is in quant , wich one would you recommend!? my goal is to master or phd outside the country in a good ranked university
@@robinyounes170 to be honest, go with your intuition on this one! my field is quite far from math or cs. Best advice for a PhD subject/topic is whichever you're most passionate about and can imagine yourself spending 3/4 years investigating in depth. fingers crossed!
@@michaela-dv8li thank you for you're time and help To be honest in my country quant isn't a thing, and I am self studying but like for master program outside my country holding bachelor in stat minor math or pure math which one you think is more beneficial, or for my personal knowledge? Thank you again, there no one to ask sorry for reaching out so randomly!
@@robinyounes170 I think some foundation of statistics is always good idea - it's very practical, very likely you can find a good job afterwards. I wouldn't know the opportunities with Math PhD. So there's my two cents! :D
