Loro Piana has this sweter jacket in their collection for "ages". Uncostructed jacket , cotton or cashmere depending on the season. It's amazing to wear - soft, light, good for travel. Normal its a 3 button, longer jacket with a Leather detail on the undercollar combined with a pair of chinos white shirt and a pair of loafers and you will be the king of the world. Aristocratic look.
Thanks Kirby for the look at the Bespoke Slack Jacket which I assume is up at the $2,000 mark, the Spanish Teba's are a similar design of originally a jersey fabric for stretch in a shooting jacket.
Hello Mr. Allison, You recently had 3 different suits profiled. Hemrajani double breasted, Flusser pinstriped 3 piece, and the Jensen suit. It might be interesting to see a comparison video. All 3 are amazing garments, but I would love to see a compare and contrast. Fit, cut, details, buttons, finishes, shoulders, fabric etc. Also welcome back from the UK. One more question what is your go to suit? What suit is your work day suit? The suit you know is easy, comfortable, and you know you will look and feel good in? Thanks as always. Keep up the great work. Steve
He looks like Ryan Gosling from crazy stupid love, at one point i expected he will slap Kirby. „Be better than the gap”. Tha jacket is amazing, love your videos :) i started save for my first bespoke suit
Seeing the videos together is nice, but redundant. A more interesting video would be a deep dive into how the final bespoke garment fit you so much better than the sample in the first video. Both looked equally good. A video getting into the details in a side by side comparison next time you are in NYC would be a nice touch.
@@Bigwave2003 That's ridiculous. Let's say I got 100k to my name right now. I could easily afford to get a jacket for 3k and it would be completely worth it to me, but I am by no means at a level of wealth where I don't have to ask about the price. That's not even close to "being rich".
@@kirbyallison No, they don't. I've been in touch. Usually, I try and avoid needing to stop in EWR on my way to Europe, but now I have an excuse. The train to Penn Station is pretty easy. Just have to try and get back. 2 summers ago I was there 3 times. And my upcoming trips take me to the far east. Still, this jacket is on my list.
Excellent informative videos Kirby, well done. However this one feels a little bit like the emperors new clothes. Nice jacket but bespoke? Hasn't armani been pioneering this deconstructional look since at least the 90s? of the peg!
Hey Kirby, as an aspiring gentlemen I want to know how can you afford all these bespoke items? Were you born in a good standing family? In south eastern Europe it would be very hard to get all these items, becauae there is no one to make them and wages are low.
Krunoslav Kovacec Dead wrong. Europe is the land of bespoke tailoring and also shoes (Italy, England, also many excellent brands and tailors in Sweden, Germany, Spain,...). Other continents actually just learn from European
MTM blazers start at $1500 and those are outsourced (China? No mention of where they are made). This is in-house bespoke so I would expect much more. alanflusser.com/mtm for MTM pricing.
Unfortunately, I think that this particular piece is too difficult to make MTM (cotton is too soft). However, I'm sure that Alan and Jonathan could do something similar MTM.
About the first one, right when i thought this was exactly the balance between formal and casual that I'm looking for, he said it's only bespoke and made in new york, even :/
That jacket is perfect. I've been looking for a coat like this. It's subtle but it's mighty. Casual but elegant.
This jacket is lovely. I really like the 1950s leisure look.

Sounds great! I've really enjoyed wearing this jacket!
Very handsome Jacket Kirby!! Awesome video as always..
I like your final jacket with the dark shirt, music was a plus at the end. Well done Kirby!
Are there any off the rack options similar to this? Would love a jacket like this but I doubt having something done bespoke will be ok my budget.
Thanks Kirby for the look at the Bespoke Slack Jacket which I assume is up at the $2,000 mark, the Spanish Teba's are a similar design of originally a jersey fabric for stretch in a shooting jacket.
Its actually quite a bit more than 2k
I can relate with Kirby. I keep saying "I've got a gap in my wardrobe" and visiting tailors.
hahaha
For some reason that line of reasoning never works with the wife.
What a unique piece! I love it!
That slack jacket is a beautiful piece.
Truly simple and elegant.

Great suggestion! Would be difficult to compare... but I could certainly try!
First it was the suits and then the slack jackets. Now I need a bespoke Harrington jacket in my life. What I wouldn't pay to get one.
He looks like Ryan Gosling from crazy stupid love, at one point i expected he will slap Kirby. „Be better than the gap”. Tha jacket is amazing, love your videos :) i started save for my first bespoke suit
how much did this jacket cost you? It looks incredible.
Kirby, do you know the ballpark price of this jacket? Live in NYC and been debating going in and having one made.
I'm guessing more than 2k as it's made in house when their outsourced (China?) mtm starts at 1500
Gregory Wirtz really?
@@crisyorke1328 In regards to MTM prices yes. According to their website yes, MTM blazers starting at $1495 for select fabrics. alanflusser.com/mtm
Wow love the finished product!!
This was awesome to watch
Thanks!

Kirby, fantastic addition. Hate to be so forward, but what is the pricing for this piece. Thank you and regards.
If you have to ask the price you can't afford it.

I'm interested as well. They're trunk show doesn't go west, only DC outside of NY. I'll have to extend a layover in NYC when going to Europe.
I don't think they really make it out west... but a good excuse to spend a night in the city!

what is the difference between slack jacket and sport coat?
Different collar construction. Totally unstructured.
Beautiful jacket!
Yes, it really did turn out quite lovely, didn't it!
Amazing garment.
Love it!! How much would it be?
I think around 1500$-2000$

Reupload?
Not a re-upload. Just a compilation version for those who wanted it condensed.
Hi Kirby this jacket looks different in this presentation than the one from Paris, I am right it's the same jacket isn't it? Very nice anyway.
Kirby spends a lot of his time meeting men in random motel/hotel rooms during the day.
Aren't some of the best sort of rendezvous in random hotel rooms... ? haha
@@kirbyallison Of course :-) Your UA-cam channel is entertaining and informative and I look forward to seeing more great videos.
I love that slack jacket,
I wonder how this would look in camel or a dark tan? Beautiful jacket.
Not everyone wears suits, especially out west, but we still want5to look good. I like that AF is looking in that direction.
Odd jackets are really good for this purpose
Can you get one of those that isn’t bespoke?

Those low rise chinos.... how immodest! Looks great though. 😁
An older pair...
Teba very nice
Bolsanaro is that you?/
not grooving on the collar and lapels of the 1st jacket. looks like a military tunic
Certainly a different style. The jacket would be just as nice with a normal itch lapel. I’m sure, since this is bespoke, that could be requested.
We need a suit counter
Seventeenth!!! 😁
It kills me when he says: “whenever” we were doing xyz. For someone who cares about details and presentation, I find it an odd choice of words.
