My ancestor was a lieutenant in the 30th Mississippi and fought at Lookout Mountain he writes that he threw down his sword and blanket in order to get away from overwhelming Union soldiers. This gave me a good idea what is sword might have looked like Thanks
I imagine every single one of those Swords was a treasured possession of an ACW Soldier. Sounds like they've found a good home with a respectful collector.
Great content! Love the graphics work as well!
