2 things to remember with this fight (Closest Nong-o vs saenchai imo) This was Saenchai's last year in the Elite Thai Circuit - he was realllly old to still be in it so he had naturally slowed down in all aspects. two, he was 3lbs lighter than Nong-o which at this level is huge. Although Saenchai had a history even back when he was in lumpini of giving weight to his opponent to fight
3 pounds are 1.3 kilos, it's not that huge a difference even in that level, my damn training gloves weight close to that xD and it's not like nong-o won the clinch or had so much more power. i think we all saw that nong-o outskilled saencahi and won this one, no need to make excuses for him, not like he didn't beat nong-o a bunch of times already.
Throwing numerous kicks and punches at your opponent doesn't decide who's much stronger and has more points. Sometimes, the point value of a sweep can underscore relentless blows to an opponent. We must understand the Muay Thai scoring system before making so-called legitimate judgements in the comment section.
I agree with you. Although nong-o threw more kicks and punches, saenchai blocked, parried or evaded most of them. I think Nong-o was almost close to winning the fight (due to great sweeps) until Saenchai unleashed that knee barrage. (If it wasnt for the ropes, nong-o mightve been knocked down)
I agree this is one the fight turned in the favor of saenchai. It was close up until this point with nong-o leading just barely. Momentum completely changed after.
They they you not to cross your feet (if you're moving left, they tell you not to step in with your right foot first) but by god... What a beautiful move by Nong-O at 6:12. Hop to the left utilizing a push from his right foot to be in a perfect position to land a right middle.
I only seen saenchai's highlights so I never seen him get hit before. Amazing knowing that someone of his caliber gets hit.First time I heard of Nong-O. The way Nong-O dodged the question mark kick was amazing. No question, he is used to it. (or probably seen saenchai's past fights?) Otherwise that was godly reaction time haha.
So beautiful. Their skillset seems another level compared to our western "Thai" fighters specially the Kicks. If they would also practice bjj, they could be the ultimate mma fighters.
So nice of Saenchai not to push his advantage last round, just show that he is the fresher fighter and could inflict heavy damage on his fatigued opponent, but chose not to. Lovely dude
what are you talking about? nong-o took his foot of the gas because he was winning, saencahi tried to catch up on the last one, he wasn't trying not to push his advantage. the judges gifted him this win. he has beaten nong-o 4 or 5 other times so i'm not saying nong-o is better in general between them but saenchai lost this one for sure
Wtf are people watching? Saenchai had a knockdown first round, showed superior defensive and offensive ability and was clearly controlling the fight; hence why he’s not against the ropes and corners. If you’re against a wall you’re not the one winning or controlling the situation.
you got a pretty wild imagination my friend, even managed to see a non-existent knockdown in round 1. i went back just to be sure i didn't lose my mind and checked it out again, there was no knockdown, there was a trip near the end and nong-o landed way more of those in this fight than saenchai, so it appears the one who doesn't know what their watching is in fact you
I wonder how the score cards looked for this fight. I had it for Nong-O, he even had two trips. But I've never really gotten a firm grip on how muay thai is scored. Maybe someone with more knowledge would care to enlighten me?
TheKidtattoo Ryan Lee They do that because they want to convince the judges they've won and don't want to risk getting struck with a highscoring technique by the opponent. If they get caught with a good kick/sweep they might loose the fight, so they "dance" around not wanting to show that they're perhaps behind on the score In my personal opinion I believe Nong-O should've been considered ahead on points instead of when Saenchai believed he did.
intermarer I also partwise disagree with this kind of result, I understand it but in my personal preference I would've wanted Nong-O to win, as he fought a beautiful fight against Saenchai and had it under control for the mostpart of the fight... Saenchai was scoring with a couple of techniques in a rushed kind of way and also blocked Nong-o's shots when fired back, then in the fifth Nong-o chased Saenchai, got countered a couple of times, and so Nong-o stepped back trying to convince the judges he still won... Tricky situations sometimes
@@intermarer9145 he wasn’t in control for most of the fight. Got thrown against the ropes and hit with knee strikes, has more punches slipped, consistently more on the back foot. Watch it again, and watch it properly..
I don't think he was scared but he definitely had to focus more than he usually does, these two are so well matched and both so lethal. I also thought both pulled a few punches and kicks from landing.
8:00
Saenchai throws a kick,
Nong-O throws a kick,
Ref throws a kick.
lol
Lol
oweeee
Couldn’t help himself 😝
These 2 are legends.. Watch all their fights and you'll have a taste of what it's like to see a world-class muay thai skills.

tbf Nong-o reached his prime only after 2014. They are both great

Man you rarely see saenchai being aggressive.

Hilary Yanuaria yeah he was untouchable at round 4-5
bro he landed two knees and the rope were actually what got nong o in a compromising position@@joselitoarcinas4285
@@joselitoarcinas4285for me it's a draw
Nong O scores on Saenchai, then smiles sheepishly like a little boy at his big bro.
Cutest match ever
13:56 is why saenchai won that fight. that was a huge turnaround, almost like a knockdown
Anh Pham Viet since when was almost something you scored? Nong-O dominated that fight
I agree this is one the fight turned in the favor of saenchai. It was close up until this point with nong-o leading just barely. Momentum completely changed after.
@@mb61j2 no he didn’t. Watch it again…
I think the worst part of the fight for Nong-O is when this kick was blocked by Saenchai! Nong-O doesn not throw anymore kicks after that.
14:47
u are wrong mate, he didn't even succeeded in throwing him, he just landed 2 knees.
watch this in x0.5 speed and go to 13:56

My top two Muay Thai fighters!
wow to me it looked like nong outsmarted, landed the better strikes and sweeps ...very good fight tho both legends and great fighter to study!
Ruby Shmurda yeah but saenchai scored more strikes and he was untouchable round 4-5
Untouchable..
100% im as much of a saenchai fan as any but people need to stop judging based on who they like but based on what happened in the fight
This is a total chess match. Amazing 🔥🔥
Nong-O so good

nong o stated that he has won every thai fighter but he fought saenchai 6 times but couldn't win any time. so he is used to saenchai's kicks.
Bro saenchais nose is pointing left and right in different places he’s been clocked a bunch of times to have it that broken lol
So beautiful. Their skillset seems another level compared to our western "Thai" fighters specially the Kicks. If they would also practice bjj, they could be the ultimate mma fighters.
Yup that’s what Stamp fairtex did
What a great fight!

2 of the best in the world

Exactly. Nong O won this fight.@@metalface_villain
Nong O control the game. So many kicks from him. Refree is blind.
Nong was really worried about Saenchais elbows.
supreme level

Hi live Muay Thai guy, I am just wondering why the fighters stall around the last moment and before the fight was over, the crowd started leaving
It is cuz both fighters knows whom won, so insteed of risking any injury thay "dance"

I thought nong o won. I guess they like saenchai too much.
+azn0180 not true
Saenchai was 34 or 35 here
It was a good fight and I adore Saenchai but Nong won that, I agree.

Nong o was on fire
