Honestly, Lewberger's shows are second to none. It doesn't always translate to clips. I was genuinely shocked by how good it was when I saw them last year for their comedy show.
"I hope so, not a lot of options left" nearly killed me. Also wow, thank you for the deep deep dive on what has gone into this show, I haven't just sat and watched an episode, I usually listen, but I sat through this entire episode so interested. Great show!!
Holy shit, the Big Rock Candy Mountain VHS is one that I definitely watched at my Grandma's house. Weird hidden core memory unlocked. I had no idea it was a Wee Sing production; my main exposure to Wee Sing were the audio cassettes and lyric books on the countless road trips my family took. Had no clue they were related, but this tracks.
I like Alex a lot more in a setting like this when he's not putting on a character like in the Keith Eats series. I'd love to see him and Hughie on the postcast more often
I have to agree. He's such a cool knowledgeable dude and I had no idea until this podcast. His normal persona usually rubs me the wrong way, though I never disliked him. Now I'll be looking forward to more Alex appearances.
I agree wholeheartedly!! His usual Person is slightly off putting (which I’m sure is a comedic point) but seeing him so relaxed, I really do love hearing him talk about this show!! All three of the guys are So passionate, and yet they aren’t too overly serious about it and I love that
Yeah Keith eats the menu made me realllyyyy not like him and you worded it perfectly; he's putting on a character and it's too much I'd rather it be HIM and be too much. You can be corny and silly but be yourself and not something that you THINK the audience would like That builds the same connection that we've gotten from the other guys
I loved the Lewberger shows I saw, they were high energy and wonderful. They are so worth seeing, it breaks my heart that I probably won’t be able to make it to NYC to see them in this. I do hope they sell out. And it blows my mind that they have a potential to be both Grammy nominated and Drama Desk nominated this year. I’d love it if they won ALL the awards!
With this and guilty pleasures Zack is a really good interviewer and host, I mean all the guys are truly but he definitely shines in this types of videos. I loved hearing about the show in detail! I’ve been waiting for a video like this!
Thank you so much for this episode. I was so privileged to be able to see lewburger in LA and enjoyed every minute. I really want to go to the New York but don't think I'll have the time and thought "if only there was a way I could help a fan go to the show and support them." It's as if you read my mind!!! Regardless if I can go, I hope you guys have a great show and Zach, you asked great questions of the boys!
Yeah! Record the last show that they do, then let us rent it. You'll have more money flooding in long after the show is closed. Sounds like a win to me.
I don't think I fully understood before listening to this just how much is going into this show. I have such massive respect for all of them and I really hope it pays off!
I gotta say, I love what you guys have done with the podcast. I literally watch every episode and it feels like I'm hanging out with my Try buds. Love it ❤❤
Keith is really out here making grown ass man moves and I love to see it. That’s the way you quietly build security and financial freedom. So goddamn wholesome. Keith is our Zaddy. I love you man! 😂
For real! Best part is that there wasn't an ounce of forced enthusiasm, it was all sincere "This is so cool and I wanna be proud of this with you!" energy💯
This is so exciting for Lewberger!! I can’t wait to hear the album, I already love “stupid little Broadway song!” I just looked for tickets and the weekend shows are all sold out! Exciting for them, but sad for me. Don’t live close enough to go to a weekday show. Would love for them to record the show or livestream the last show. Good luck Keith, Hughie, and Alex
as someone who’s planning to move countries just to work in theatre, this episode brings me to tears. good luck you guys! wishing i could be there to see all your dreams come alive in person
I'm so excited to see it! It's my birthday present to myself, and my first time to New York/Broadway. Maybe I'll get lucky and get picked for the stage!
new york is amazing, my first time there was like a dream, I always recommend, if you're going to do one of the observation decks, go to 30 Rock, beautiful building and the view is amazing, most people say Empire State, but guess where you can't see the empire state building, when you're on top of it! do both if you can but I know it's pricey! also if you are a fan of late night shows, you can apply for free tickets to them. colbert, seth meyers, fallon etc
@@niheala56 I'm from Scotland so I had different travel expenses, but it can be pricey and has only went up since I last went in 2018. I reckon including travel, hotel, show tickets, food, other attraction's, at least $3000 for a week long trip. but this is is me being international and having to fly and wanting to stay in Manhattan. possibly cheaper way of doing it for us residents
@@niheala56 For travel(amtrack from Chicago), hotel, and tickets, I'm at $1800 . And that's not included taxi's, food, souvenirs, and any experiences. Also planning can make a big difference, I would've saved at least $600 if I would've booked a month ago when I first wanted to get the tickets.
I loved WeeSing as a kid and fell into the hole of it on tiktok recently but none of my friends have even heard about it. I love that y’all were inspired by it and talked about it. My sister and I rented Grandpas Magical Toys from the library so many times we killed the VHS 😂
“Not a lot of options left.” 😂 o.m.g. I had to pause cause I was laughing so hard. Truly love all of this. Love that you all are getting to do something that’s a dream of yours, developing more skills, having fun, giving opportunities, still staying truthful to who you all are at your cores, and I LOVE how it’s this separate thing for Keith but at the same time our Try-community loves supporting Lewberger as well. It just makes my heart happy when I hear you all talking about this.
This is honestly so inspiring. While we might not have the resources that they have, there are still ways to go for the things you’ve always wanted to do. Lose the self-doubt, reach out to your communities, and go for it! No more waiting on someone else to give you permission
Wee Sing was a huge part of my childhood!! We had so many of those VHS’s!! But my cousins had Big Rock Candy Mountain and that one was just a little traumatizing LOL
So excited for Lewberger! Probably won't be able to see it live, but would love to buy the soundtrack and/or recording. Congratulations and wishing you all the best!
I wish I was close enough to see the show in person and HOPE so badly they tour and bring it down to Dallas! Also "Theres not a lot of options left" had me ROLLING with laughs. Wishing yall all the success and Grammys !!!
I am a big big try guys fan, but I also really like Lewberger, and that’s because through your presence and try guys videos I’ve really grown to like both Alex and Huey separately from the try guys but also because of the try guys
OH. MY. GOD. I have tried to find ANYONE who has watched that Little Bunny Foo Foo video! I watched it at daycare as a small child and I had nightmares over the bunny being punished for bopping the mice!
Omg I have never heard anyone else talk about wee sings! How exciting! It was a great series! And I miss it! I found some audio available on iTunes. My cousin and I loved it! Yes! It was so strange but I learned so many different English lullabies, which was strange being a first gen Mexican American lol
We Sing: Big Rock Candy Mountain was my FAVORITE movie as a little kid. So much so that my parents bought me the DVD for my 16th birthday. At 32 I still have it and will occasionally get very stoned and watch it and sing along and all is right in the world.
Omg them mentioning Big Rock Candy Mountain VHS made my heart so happy to hear! I grew up watching that, and I don't know anyone else who has heard of it :')
Sally’s Birthday Party We Sing is the main one I remember too, Alex. Never knew what it was called but it lives in my head rent free. It just does. Core memory.
Hi! What a beautiful way to give others an opportunity to see you guys through the crowd funding🥹 genuine question:if someone won,and they are in need of a person with them (like a caregiver) would they be able to also have their ticket covered? And can the ticket apply to a handicap accessible/transfer seat? Thank you for being so awesome 🧡
I am in a completely different country and there's no way I will get to see this buy in loved hearing about it. You're all so passionate about it and it sounds like it'll be amazing.
I love Wee Sing!!! They stuck with me so much growing up and now I watch them with my kids!! The Big Rock Candy Mountain and the Magical Musical Mansion are the best!
WAIT WAIT WAIT, I had the Wee Sing cassette tapes and sheet music as a kid, I was OBSESSED with them and listened to the tapes all the time and learned how to read music partially from following along in the sheet music book! I had no idea until right now that there were VIDEOS????
Hearing y'all talk about Wee Sing unlocked some weird childhood memories -- I remember ALSO being entranced by Wee Sing in Sillyville -- I know ALL those songs just by the first few notes 😳
We truly love lewberger because well, you all are awesome. Wish I had money to go to the show but this iowa girl is cheering for your success from here!!!!
I had (and loved) the Wee Sing cassettes as a kid but I had no idea there were also VHS... I need to see these things! And also the Wizard Of Friendship
So excited to see you guys fulfilling your Broadway dreams! Also, Alex, I recently saw you in what is probably a long forgotten masterpiece. I truly did a double take while watching Dexter. You killed it as a food truck driver 😂
As if i couldn't love you guys any MORE, you reference WeeSing! So it WASNT just a weird, obscure fever dream of images and music my brother and I played over and over in the VHS player! The Christmas one was our jam. 🎅🎄
I dont know if this is even possible at this point but, If you can, many international viewers and just viewers who cant go would happily pay to watch at least a recording of it!! (Im one of them)
"can't get fired because I own one-third of the company" isn't necessarily something someone associated with the try guys can particularly claim any more, hahaha
Hughie, I love your non-imposter syndrome speech. honestly, normalize knowing our self-worth, talent, and hard work. damn straight.
Totally agree
And Hughie has an Emmy!
That chunk needs to be clipped and shared widely
Totally agree.
It didn’t hit me until this episode that Keith had ownership in about three different companies. That’s so wild and impressive!
Aside from 2nd Try and Lewberger, what's the third one?
Keith’s hot sauce ☝️
Honestly, Lewberger's shows are second to none. It doesn't always translate to clips. I was genuinely shocked by how good it was when I saw them last year for their comedy show.
I'm thinking of going back to NYC for my birthday for a show and I'm hoping this is the case so I go to their shows :)
I mean it's Beautiful Keith and his equally talented compatriots, and they've had tons of practice.
when alex said he can’t get fired cuz he owns the company😧 at 14:22
too soon too soon bahahaha😭
Came here to say exactly this. Can’t imagine how hard it must have been for Keith or Zach not to make a comment 😂
oop 😅
Are you all REALLY going to under appreciate..
Keith "not a lot of options left"
Because I deceased 😂😂😂
SIDE NOTE. He who must not be named was obvious the worst forever 🤷🏼♀️😅
sameeeee all the bois were dying too LOL
The length of time that Zach laughed for. I’m here for it.
omg lol timestamp it
That made me laugh so hard!
27:18 Keith and Alex being so exited about the laser
Zach and Hughie being terrified 😂😂😂
"Not a lot of options left" SENT me omfg Keith 😂💀
I hope something fun is planned for episode 200! These guys deserve a party after the last few months ❤🎉
Love seeing Huey on this episode :)
Rainieeeeeeeeeee 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 can you plan a 200 tripod party pretty please? 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

That builds the same connection that we've gotten from the other guys
Keith entering his own villain era with his frickin' laser beams 🤣
I loved the Lewberger shows I saw, they were high energy and wonderful. They are so worth seeing, it breaks my heart that I probably won’t be able to make it to NYC to see them in this. I do hope they sell out. And it blows my mind that they have a potential to be both Grammy nominated and Drama Desk nominated this year. I’d love it if they won ALL the awards!
This has become one of my favorite ways to start my Thursday a cup of coffee and The Try Pod
And it's how I always *end* my Thursdays, dinner and The Try Pod.
sounds like it'll be an excellent show, and zach's a great interviewer
Yes, Zach did such a great job interviewing/hosting this podcast
As someone who rewatches The Two Towers as a “fall asleep” movie frequently: it’s ALWAYS Frodo falling into the nightmare pool of death
Zach being the best hypeman this entire ep 🙌🏼
For real! Best part is that there wasn't an ounce of forced enthusiasm, it was all sincere "This is so cool and I wanna be proud of this with you!" energy💯
10:47 SO HERE FOR THIS ENERGYYYYY
Loved the two second cutaway to Rainie laughing at the end.
This new era of you guys have made me feel so proud of you all. ❤ y’all are finally free to fly like Jay.
The totally human man
This is so exciting for Lewberger!! I can’t wait to hear the album, I already love “stupid little Broadway song!” I just looked for tickets and the weekend shows are all sold out! I had the Wee Sing Together vhs (the one about Sally’s birthday) and I LOVED it as a kid, I am so excited to hear Lewberger talking about Wee Sing 😂😂😂

I cannot freaking believe you talked about We Sing. Huge parts of my childhood that no one else knows. Thanks, Keith and Alex

We Sing in Sillyville!!! I used to watch it on repeat as a kid too, though I didnt know it was a series! I'll have to look up the other ones lol
Am I the only one always obsessing over Hughie’s fashion trends in their documentary and this podcast???
I've never heard anyone talk about WeeSing movies! I grew up watching this and bought the DVD collection to watch with my son after he was born.
I am also living the dream doing stage management for musical theatre. So fascinating, thanks for sharing your passions with us!

Omg them talking about wee sing in sillyville and big rock candy mountain made me cry, that was a big part of my childhood
Hughie's working with Puppet History?! I didn't know I needed this in my life!!!

We Sing's Big Rock Candy Mountain was an integral part of my childhood. Bless the We Sing conversation
SAME! I just commented about this. I have it on DVD and will get stoned and watch it sometimes 😅
I grew up on We Sing, always loved them. NONE of my friends knew it. Im 29 and I make my partner and friends watch it still lol
I wish you could record it and put it on like you did WAR live, I'd 100% pay to watch it I'm so sad I live in England right now 😭 xx
I dont know if this is even possible at this point but, If you can, many international viewers and just viewers who cant go would happily pay to watch at least a recording of it!! (Im one of them)
I came into this like "eh I'm not really into Leuburger (sry idk how to spell it)" and left wishing I could come!!!
Yo hearing that Wee Sing is a huge inspiration makes me want to go see the show so much more
Keith at 57:05 😂 never had more respect for him than in this moment
"can't get fired because I own one-third of the company" isn't necessarily something someone associated with the try guys can particularly claim any more, hahaha
Wee Sing in Sillyville!!!!! 😱🤩😱🤩😱🤩😱🤩😱🤩😱 Ahhh I had that growing up! Thank you for reminding me of that wonderful show.
But I agree everyone should already know Hughie Stone Fish
I am SO excited! I have a ticket for 3/24 😊
