On diesel engines you have too. Hand tight will work loose on the vibrations diesel engines have. That a gamble you don't want to take with these costly engines
@@Studio23Media no not really he’s right There is a lot of vibrate from diesels and some gassers it’s just how there made some people don’t have the grip strength to tighten it that hard but I don’t like using a filter wrench in general sometimes messes up the fiter but it’s a nice tool to have
Chet and Big Swede; I have a galaxy that I have had for 5 years! Does everything and keeps on ticking. Haven't dropped it in the lake. Just spent the sunny Saturday morning getting my favorite Mother in law's stupid iPad working after an update. You tell them Dougo!!!
You can easily rebuild those rotator nozzles for the pressure washer. And you can unscrew them and take the diffuser out and make it even more powerful. You may have to do away with the hard plastic protector around it, but you don't need that crap anyways. Lol just cut it off. Don't buy a new one. You can probably just take it apart and remove the diffuser and clean it up and it will go to working like new. Being a diesel mechanic and always wanting to make things have more power is a blessing. Lol and we are too cheap just to go and buy new parts all the time. We take it apart, figure out how it works and repair it. Lol love you guys and the videos. Oh and Galaxys are the best!! Go dougo!!! I have an iPhone for work and a galaxy for my personal and I can't stand the iPhone! Stay true dougo!!!!
New suber, like the mantra. If you can fix it it you can drive it. You can drive it , you can break it. You break it , you can fix it. Maintenance on maintenance.
I love how the big Swede becomes the tool to straighten the slide door. Such a Tool. LOL something is broken in that transmission it shouldn't clunk while shifting.
Here's a couple of good ideas for shop signs you might like. Old sayings among mechanics... "WARNING: If you don't schedule time for maintenance, your equipment will schedule it for you!" AND "LUBRICATION is the key to proper maintenance!"
Just a handy tip for the rotating ceramic pressure nozzle is to alway point it downwards when pressing the gun handle. It’s a loose tip running around in the nozzle housing so when you’re pointing it up the pressure slams it to the housing and breaks the part that rotates We’ve learned the hard way.
Hi fellas regarding filters, if you can get some MS4 silicone grease, you run that on the seal. For some reason engine oil disperses over time, whereas MS4 does not, ask any aircraft engineer (A&P) a 4oz tube lasts forever.
The oil is just for assembly... any filter I've ever taken off has been dry on the outside of the whole filter. And you can tell the seal doesn't have oil on it, that's why you only hand tighten.
Chet every Filer you tighten you should be the one to remove those filters and then you will see why you don't tighten filters with the wrench ask your friend the Swead his thoughts on tighten filters with the wrench. Awesome video as always
I usually don’t comment on any video but now I do. Your video’s are always fun and entertaining. It gives me a good vibe or something like that 😉. Grtz from The Netherlands (across the ocean). 👋
Team, I think it is time to get the Combines to the corn field and start harvesting. You have way to to much time on you hands. That is what mother would always say when you have to much to time. Good Luck this fall....your having fun....
Good job on the filters, Big Scandahovian I know of one of Dougo's kids that need towed on the lake with that big yatch wearing 200 lbs of tractor weights
I’d almost bet that you have clutch discs gone. New Holland version we had, had same issue. Took trans filter off and you could hear chunks rattling in the filter.
Chet just a fyi as to the low boy trailer rubbing. You can put a bypass solenoid on your leveling valve, that with the flip of a switch it puts full pressure to airbags causing them to lift up several inches. Airbags can take the pressure without harm. Many carhaulers use them to get in and out out steep or humped driveways.
Same thing Lamborghini uses - in cars, not tractors :D Lamborghini origins from tractors and they are still making them but only as a brand of SAME (Società Accomandita Motori Endotermici) or SAME Deutz-Fahr. Erik you were pointing out that the temperature in your work space was a little uncomfortable, and wishing that a "Hurricane Fan" was close by but what you had not noticed was a ceiling fan right over your work station and it was in the off mode position, I'm some what convinced that it would have served you better had it been in the on mode position...y'all keep it between the rows now...ya hear...
Chet I think that quad track has some issues in the transmission, that's a loud clunk when it engaged, sounds like slack in the planatries, one way to find out Keep running it lol the problem will surface 😆

Hey Larson’s, you ever have the need to get new oil filter pliers I highly recommend the Channellock pairs, they are wonderful and the best part made in the USA
Add a half inch shim were the trailer neck folds it will pick the trailer up 3 inches when you go to back in put the shim in its a temp thing don't run down the road with it

you never walk away from an oil change because some one will come along and run something and not bother to look at the oil pressure and go run with no oil. hasn't happened but for as many time as i get in a cab and go run with out looking it could happen.
Where did the summer go? Won't be long and you'll be hooking up the headers and getting ready for bean harvest, hope all goes well with the new chemical building.
Tell Dougo I dropped my phone in a porta-jon 15 years ago. There was an island in the center (mainly dry), that I was able to use a pliers and a paper towel to retrieve it😉. I saved $40 on my insurance claim, due to water damage from the 5 minutes of water hose cleanup afterwards.
Hey Chet! You should try a product called NO-OX-ID. It’s more like a grease but you apply it to metal parts you don’t want to rust. And as long as you don’t get it hot it’s thick and sticks to things even with weather and rain and even snow. It will have to be re-applied from time to time but it might help with things rusting for you.
comments galore about using a filter wrench to "torque" a filter into place - frankly torquing any tin can filter is just an unnecessary disaster waiting to happen, unless the manual says so or you have a history of a filter leaking with a given machine and you found that to be the solution that works for you in that particular situation.. I was taught to check the filter housing face for the old gasket remaining in place (if so, it needs to be removed because double stacked seals or double gasketing never ends well) and wipe the filter housing face with an inside to outside sweeping action (adjusting to a clean area of the rag free of dirt and debris with each swipe - definitely avoid the mud, dirt, or water getting into the oil supply/loop).. just need a touch of oil (or fuel) to "wet" the new filter seal, spin the filter on until it doesn't freely spin, then an additional 1/4 or 1/3 turn by hand typically does the job.. in time, with the engine heat and pressure, and exposure to the elements, the seal stiffens which makes getting the old filter(s) off just that much more difficult..
We run the 620 wheel version and run em hard and we have found if u calibrate em twice back to back it really helps em out!! Also if u shift in the even gears instead of the odds it helps alot!!
Make sure those turbo nozzles are sized correctly with your pressure washer gpm and psi. If they’re not matched correctly you will hurt the nozzle and your pressure washer.
I believe “Dougo” was Nicole’s nickname for him, that he initially despised. “Now I’m ok with it”. Continued prayers for the Larsons.
