- Sadly my hand was not raised on that night, but it was one hell of an experience! Although I could say I lost, but I take it more as a learning. I’ll be back better than ever for sure! Thank you for everyone who supported me, love y’all❤️

I'm not sure why you've been counting, but you didnt touch for a while at the end of the second round and he hits pretty hard on his cross. Maybe the referee wanted to be sure you are still alright.

when i did my first tournament in welterweight decades ago as a young man, one of the out-of-towner contenders ended up with all 3 of his "exclusive" girlfriends showing up to see his fight. man, was his concentration off during weigh-ins. 😅 but dude was a tank and did really well in the ring still. i never heard how it played for him tho. i'd like to think they all got along and had a great time getting some ice cream together afterwards. yes. that's what i chose to believe.

Man that 8 count was BULLSHIT and that boy had too much experience they tried to discourage you in your first fight you look REALLY good tho don’t let that discourage you. They gave you a 8 count cause they know he lost that round by a long shot

How long were you training for your first bout? Looking to have mine end of 2023 early 2024
about 6-7 months consistently cus i use to be on and off and only go once, twice, or not at all to the gym
and they count to 8 to give you time to relax even if they see you are good to go they will count till 8 in the amateur fights sometimes even in the pro fights

@@omgandwu good luck man, hope you don't get cheated this time. First round was pretty even, it seems like you were a bit nervous, but that's totally normal going into your first fight. Second was maybe a little in his favor, but round 3 you washed him out.
Anyway, there's no need for a perfect score in amateur boxing. It was a good learning experience
