Sorry I respectfully disagree. Most of these demos are dance cheese compared to the beauty and atmosphere of the official releases. They made the right choice to change it up.

this version is simply awesome. i love it miles better than the official...but i also understand this fits better as a remix of the official one. It´s pure awesome anyway. Very nice demo & version from pure Avicci & Madonna!!!!
It's a pity she didn't put out these versions and changed it radically due to leaks. This would've been on of her most popular albums ever.

Foi muito injusto o que Madonna fez com Avicci em jogar fora essa versão, que é muito melhor que a final. Ela podia ao menos ter colocado como versão bônus. Seria possivelmente um hit, mas ela estragou tudo.

The album version is what the song must be. This demo is an experiment Avicii did, and it's fantastic and of course it's more accesible for general public that only wants easy dance things, but not what the song is meant to be: a majestic ballad, sort of funeral song. People thinking the demos were better must grow up and learn more about music and not being so simple.

This song describes, word for word, everything about Majora’s Mask. It should’ve been used as the opening theme for the 3DS rerelease, since they came out at around the same time. Lol.
I prefer the album version because the mood it conveys is more appropriate to the lyrics, but I’m glad both versions exist.

Eu gosto de todas as demos desse álbum. Porém, muitas delas soam como remixes. As versões do álbum soam mais orgânicas e naturais e combinam perfeitamente com a ambiência, atmosfera, clima e temperatura pós-apocalíptica, sombria, romântica, medieval, élfica, melancólica e resiliente que Madonna quis transmitir.

this is 1 of the best tracks from Rebel Heart this album had such potention to be one of her Best albums .WAOM - as if she wants to tell the world "If I'm done then let it be let rain wash all over me - but I'm not done yet" always the best yet so emotional and vulnerable I adore Madonna's recordings. Im not big on Life shows. but what comes to albums I'm Right there. :) - Madonna is Pop-music masterpiece , too bad lately she turned her back on Pop trying to follow the trend of HipHop... sad.

Madonna stupidest move ever was to leave Avicii aout of her album and choose diplo. Rebel heart would be a monumental alnum now...
She left "Devil Pray" and "HeartbreakCity" almost untouched. But this song actually ended up going to Kanye West to produce, not Diplo.

I don't like Rebel Heart that much and it's possibly because of the leaks. I didn't really listen to them because I didn't want the experience to be ruined later, but it just lacks some joy for my taste.
I think the tracklisting, final production, singles choices were all affected by the leaks and damaged the final body of work, sadly. Hackers should wait a year or so before releasing the demos lol 😡🙄
Yep!! The original tracks (now called demos) were so much beter than the overly produced tracks that ended up on the album. Kanye stripped all of the life out of the tracks he worked on.
this should've been a single. I am sure it would've top the charts. Not that charts matter that much but I don't think she has a number one single for the last decade nor any awards for her music, for the due of the contract with Interscope (the last 3 albums).

to be honest most of the demos obviously don't sound very finished at all. they're good but sound like demo remixes. the final versions are very polished and stand well as they are. not saying I don't like some elements of the demos more, because I do. and I wish they were released officially but the album was good as it was. one of my favorite Madonna albums for sure

Rebel Heart is an amazing album! But most of the demos are better then the originals. I remember most of the songs leaked, most of the album leaked. And that was not a good thing. A lot of songs like wash all over me (ft Avicci) were changed because of the leak. This song, Madonna ft Avicci was meant to be a single. But because of the leak they changed it, and it never hit its full potential. Don’t get me wrong, the album version is okay....but because of the leak they changed the song. At first this would be the song....but because of the leak Madonna changed everything! It’s so sad because this version is everything and it was supposed to be a single
i feel like the production really contradicts the lyrical content and M's delivery, and not in a good way. it sounds like when they release those weird remixes of sad ballads and make them edm or some shit. not for me, but it's cool that other people like it though

The Avicii version is amazing. I think both the album and the Avicii versions are different songs altogether - album version more emotional; this one more pure modern dance vocal. I get that Madonna thought the Avicii mixes would 'date' easily, but this mix is exquisite!
NOT! THIS was the final mix, UNTIL it got leaked, & Madonna panicked & had the song production changed. Horrible decision! EVERY pre-released track was FAR SUPERIOR to what Madonna finally released on the album! THE PRE-RELEASE LEAK DOOMED AN ALBUM THAT WAS SPECTACULAR JUST AS IT WAS! The redone versions released on the album paled in comparison!
