Those cheap sequels and "mid-quels" to classic films from Walt's era or even the Renaissance Era of the 90s will NEVER count towards the animated features canon made by the Walt Disney Studios. Those official sequels you mentioned are indeed canon towards the animated originals.

I love how they are like their characters thanks to the directors and creatores of frozen, and I love so much Idina personality she is so humble, elegant, reserved but when she is on stage singing is the opposite and so free, powerful. By the way I love everytime that she say "sir" in the interview, so respecfull.
I'm going through my head of Broadway icons and non of them hold a candle to idina as far as creating, strong, empowered, leading ladies (Elphaba, Elsa, Maureen, Liz/Beth) each one has a song that hits right in the feels or makes you feel like the top of the world. I would love to pick her brain about her impact on media and how she chooses a roll.

This is my thought! I found many comments saying that other singers singing better than she does. But for me she is the one who originated those characters and who knows without her these works may not have been a hit!

You know what I'm most excited for? The animation! I rewatched Frozen today because I see it as somewhat of a Christmas-but-not-yet movie and somehow, again, within the past six years, the animation has improved *even more* and the facial expressions are fascinating to me because even in that short clip, I was rewinding, rewatching just to catch everyones expressions because they're all so detailed and particular and so well thought out! It really brings the characters to life and its so satisfying!!
I love how even Idina and Kristen say there are better songs than into the unknown. Lets be honest we both know they mean Show yourself and The next right thing, and probably all is found as well.
Jonathan Groff is honestly so under appreciated. I love the show “Mindhunter” and then in Hamilton he was King George and he’s Kristoff. He plays such awesome roles and they’re so different, but he does it all so well.
Emma Mae Gridley he really isn’t under appreciated on the videos he’s on everyone comments about him something about his voice how he looks or something about his other movies and i have never seen a single one of those other movies but i do know he’s nowhere close to under appreciated lmao

Actually, It's not even the first Disney musical sequel to have a theatrical release. The jungle book 2 (2003) had a theatrical release and it was a musical.
All the other animated sequels you’re thinking of were done by a smaller animation branch owned by Disney, either DisneyToons or Walt Disney Television Animation. They are correct in stating this is the first animated musical to be released theatrically by Disney’s main and coveted studio, Walt Disney Animation Studio.

WDAS is a production studio, not a distributor, which in this case would be Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, which releases all of the Disney corporation's movies, including those of Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm.

Yes, that sounds a bit uppity, but this is too much to explain every time to the public, who hopefully have some sense of what a major Disney animated feature is, as opposed to a minor one (from a different studio anyway). There are some who confuse WDAS for Pixar (and vice versa), and those people have no hope and probably don't really care who makes what anyway. :)
