This is like living our childhood dreams. I've always missed Hogwarts and would rewatch the movies constantly but now we can live through a video game and actually BE there virtually!! I love this game, thank you Hollow for making a video on it !
The only thing that's left is for when in a few decades, when vr is extremely advanced, they create an online version of this with a human and wizard world you can travel through and it would be mass multi-player so you can play with friends, battle them and your enemies, and level up your character without all the pay to win bs.

the atmosphere and immersion is insane, i feel like i could spend hours lost in hogwarts exploring and enjoying every moment, i really hope this game doesn't flop
That’s what I’m hoping they’ve focused on the most - the exploration. And it sounds like they have, since they’ve said their aim is basically to give the fans what they want. And from the devs point of view, what could be more fun that building Hogwarts?? The level designers must have been in their element. I’m hoping there’s hidden doors etc absolutely everywhere

props to the devs for actually listening to the audience and what they want, this is the game i think most gen-z harry potter fans have been wanting since they were 8 or 9 years old. The gameplay and gameplay features actually look and seem to be incredible, and im sure the commitment the devs have displayed will pay off for them as well. this game could be huge

Games looks fantastic. The details that was put in this is insane.. A second part should of been included to this video where the developers talk about how and why they made the game. it seems like they are huge fans .

They got basically 9 months to make any fixes to gameplay or graphics, so I am super pumped for this game. Crazy how you can go down a darker path with the type of spells you choose to look into. Also love the skills abilities. Cant wait to be more stealthy.
Did you notice that when the player went invisible, he cast a Disillusionment Charm instead of pulling on an Invisibility Cloak? I think that’s much cooler and much more appropriate for combat uses! Maybe it’s an ability that can be upgraded with the Stealth skill tree?
@@WiseOakDakota also if you paid even more attention to detail in the room of requirement I saw a potion for invisibility as well!
@@lillith979 I did see that as well, maybe they have different advantages like one lasts longer but the other is more effective
@@WiseOakDakota yip. The potion probably lasts for longer than the charm but needs to be brewed and has limited stock. An invisibility cloak probably needs lots of resources to craft.
@@Pyramid_Skeem I was thinking that would be awesome to craft your own invisibility cloak, the book says it’s made from Demiguise hair which I’m actually hoping aren’t in the game because they creep me out 🤣
I couldn't pick a 'favorite' moment. Just the feel of everything drew me right in. There aren't enough words for me to express my awe at how big this game could be. The scope seems huge, and this entire State Of Play was a joy to watch.

If you’re a Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts fan, this game is for you! I’m most definitely going to have to get this game when it releases. This gameplay is enough to tell you this game might be great without even playing it.

Yeah, this is actually what next gen meant for me. I know people talk about the graphics, but this is what excites me about the new limits next gen allows. This is like 3 games in one, all seamlessly blended together into the world of Harry Potter. I can’t wait for this.

this is the perfect mix between what i always imagined these places would look like (like the ravenclaw common room, hogwart’s kitchen) and brand new locations. the game looks so much cooler than i anticipated! very intrigued by the option to go down a darker wizard’s path too, I’m curious as to just how dark you can actually go
he used the killing spell towards the end so i imagine, pretty dark 😈

I can’t really speak for the guy, but it might be that mindset that keeps ruining the gaming industry. Too much hype, not enough proof.
Imo, instead of getting excited, remember all the games that got you just as excited and burned you when it released. Imo, calm down. Let the game prove to you it’s worth your money before buying and leaving comments like “This looks amazing and I haven’t even played it”. This quote isn’t from this commenter, but one above.
And I think it’s this type of hype, that allow pubs and devs to BS. Look at Cyberpunk as a recent example.

Honestly, will this game be good? My gut feeling, yes. But do I HAVE to have it day one? No. I typically wait till there is at least 2,000 reviews on Steam. Then I feel better. Trust me, if it is highly anticipated, the game will hit 2k in a day. But at least you can be more confident in your purchase and you dodged a 60 plus dollar bullet (if AAA).

I'm really digging the combat. It could've easily just been a basic over the shoulder cover shooter with a reticle, button mashing spells at your enemies but this looks like something way more unique with more skill and tactics required to juggle your enemies and having to think about what spells you're using.
Oh my god, I didn't even consider a combat system like the one you mentioned. After seeing this, that sounds terrible.

I'm more excited then i ever thought i could be after seeing the gameplay. It's a day one buy for me. My only concern is the combat. Hopefully it evolves enough throughout the game with new moves and skills

Well the voice over guy said that you would be able to mix dozens of spells to perfect your combat style. So that with potions, using animal friends, and stealth seems very promising

Now that's how you do a state of play. I don't even like Harry Potter but I will be getting this day one and I will watch every single movie before this game releases which I have not been able to get into the movies.

Harry Potter in GTA/Bully style. Amazing!
Honestly I couldn’t imagine that after all the books that I have read and the movies I have watched that we will have a game for the Harry Potter world, it is a dream and finally they made it happened, the atmosphere of the game, the scenery, the castle, the classrooms. Everything literally had brought me so much joy and I can’t wait to play this game

Last time I bought a Harry Potter game was in 2011 I was 13 now to see their making a new one at age 24 is super nostalgic to me. The graphics and the areas look AMAZING. The older Harry Potter games could never!

As a huge harry potter fan, I've been waiting for something like this for so long. While I'm beyond excited, I also have to remain realistic in knowing we live in a time where games like this have huge trailers and hype. Only to fail miserably at delivering. Still super excited and have my hopes up because this does look amazing.

@@brookmw1745 They didn't show or mention any Quests, main or side in the demonstration, except a companion quest. They mentioned and showed off side activities.
It's possible and likely even the game won't really have quests in it.
If this game plays as well as it looks it’s going to be a fantastic game I’d might even go as far to say the best and most unique game of all time I’ve ever seen

The common rooms look absolutely gorgeous! I do hope this game delivers. I kind of wish John Cleese did the voice for Sir Nicholas Porpington, but that's a minor critique on my part.
Most environments look TRULY beautiful. The graphics on the characters though do need sooommeee improvements but they do have literally like 8 months to work on some things.
It's crossgen releasing even on Switch. It won't look much better than this which for me is fine because all in all, it does look phenomenal. Plus, it's almost guaranteed to have a performance mode on the new gen consoles. Imagine this beauty at 60fps.
I remember playing Harry Potter and the Philosopers Stone on PS1 when I was a kid.. This game is bringing back so much of that happiness, I really hope this lives up to what it looks like!

It looks interesting but obviously they will make the preview look amazing . The main issue is what will it be like at launch and how good will the final product be . I have high hopes but with some titles being buggy and awful at launch the devs have got to really test the final product before releasing

i did keep getting rdr2 vibes, which is silly because wizards and cowboys have nothing to do with each other. but the living breathing world is hard not to draw comparisons.

I would say my #1 concern is the combat. It’s a work in progress so that’s good. It looked a little stiff in my mind and could use some fine tuning. I also hope the world outside of hogwarts is massive I would love to be completely immersed in this game

One could see the content of this game easily made into multiple installments, yet we get to see them all in ONE GAME!!! This is the game we gamers deserve after all those disappointments over the years!!!

This game looks amazing! I'm a huge fan of open world games like Skyrim and also HP so this is something that I have never expect to happen. Eventhough the map won't be as huge as Skyrim, it has some qualities that the game doesn't have. Like flying on the broomstick, how different spells change the combat and the dash? Goddamn. Honestly, not expecting much as long as we can actually control our character and explore Hogwarts.

Looks amazing, glad we can learn the forbidden curses and compared to alot of games it's been awhile since we've had news so I can see why they gave us as much as they did
I have been waiting for an original, creative, imaginative game that includes spells with an RPG style and somewhat open world. I am not really a Hogwarts follower or know anything about it but this game looks like a buy. I usually wait for a sale anymore regardless because now days no game is worth $70 but this might be my first. Impressive
There's a lot of real RPGs with spells and an open world. There's also a lot of AAA open world games with spells just like this one.

I don't like to get ahead of events but from what I've seen it's going to be Game of the Year. I think we've all watched Harry Potter and wished we could live in the story now that it's actually happening What a great job for all those who worked in this unbelievable project ♥️
I’m very concerned about the coin and time system for upgrades and outfits, hopefully they’ll be easy to get and not locked behind a paywall
@Yanpretman I’m sure they would but I’m anxious about it having upgrades that could take a week or something and the game being borderline unplayable for a certain amount of time, by the looks of it though it should be okay seeing as there looks to be so much to do
As it is a single player game, all thing's can be earned by exploring, attending classes, doing mission's, or buying wat we need for the upgrades at shops, by completing tasks, the timer is just how it keeps a small balance within the world, some things do take time to grow, properly. 💯😊

Looks great, just worried about microtransactions. Did you notice the timers on the potions around 10:15. Hopefully it's just an innocent in-game timer...
They confirmed no micro transactions, it’ll just be a regular countdown timer such as is the case for a lot of games before micro transactions

This will be the Next Most play game. It will take the spot of Elden Ring the graphics looks Realistic and has a Elden Ring vibe when nyou see there's no menu showing in screen at all times like Health bar, mini map, quest etc. like others Open world's RPG games. I'm hype for this one. And I'm sure there's a lot of Fans and gamer's waiting for this.

@@kirisuma2186 It might... But i think you miss understood. When I meant about health bar and all that.. Is like Elden Ring it has those but only shows up at the moment of a battle meanwhile when you are not in battle the screen is completely clear from those things on screen. That feature makes the game like a Movie that you have full control of. Hope This game has that and Not the Old and annoying features of 24/7 Health bar Mini map. Skill boxes on the bottom and quest list in the screen. Hope to be a polished Clear screen while exploring the Hogwarts world. That will be great for a Beautiful Screenshots of the game while playing it or exploring the open world.
Man this looks good and has character creation can't wait I feel that character creation makes you feel your in the game 👌

This game looks insane! If it’s as good as it looks In these trailers and lives up to the promise, then this could be one of the best games ever! I’m not going to get my hopes too high though until release. I’ve learned not to after Cyberpunk lol.
Running around a huge school going to classes definitely gave me Rockstar ‘Bully’ vibes as well which certainly isn’t a bad thing. If you can choose your house then I’ll be going into Slytherin 100% lol. Fuck Griffindor haha. Really hope you can play Quidditch matches to lol

I don't think they showed anything extraordinary in the trailer, looks typical of a modern open world game. Cyberpunk showed way more promise and more lofty promises than this game has so far.
The original PS2 harry potter games had you running around a huge school going to classes. Hundreds of other games do as well.

The upgrade from playing it ages ago on PC and seeing this NOW! Im over here having an anxiety attack!!!! I havent played it yet and I already have my favorite things I wanna do in the game which are customization, exploring literally everything corner, flying and beasts!!!! OMG!!!! Im dying!!!!
So depending on spell, you may go down a darker path. So basically wat I’m sayin is the game is based to be a good wizard/witch, being a dark wizard isn’t a choice from the beginning. No making pacts with dark wizard, no betrayal. So wat do they mean goin down a dark path. Jus want them to elaborate on that a bit more. Me, I want lord voldermort status, dark magic, dark creatures, dark allies, DARK EVERYTHING!!!

Wait a minute I played the Harry potter games but this one right here brings the magical world to life and you can create your own character. You get to take classes and embark on your own journey. And they hot side missions it looks amazing. Can’t wait to watch you play.
I grew up in 3rd grade reading their books. My first field trip was to watch sorcerer stone. Ever since I imagined if they could make a game like the book similar to, “Bully”. I can’t wait for this to come out!!
I think they released so much because the fanbase of the game has been "patiently" waiting for some sort of confirmation or official communication about the game. This is the first thing we have heard from them that shows the game is still coming out this year. Usually the news is speculative.
The only thing i dont like is that it seems so open world and there isn't really a solid storyline to follow it seems.. which is what i rly need in a game
What i think is PARAMOUNT to this game is if they have events such as the wizarding cup and Christmas, it would really not be as great for me if you were just stuck in year 5 and played through it in a linear line of progression. This would add so much more to the game please add special events!!!

Just so you know, the audio cuts out at 7:08 and then comes back at 8:18.
Unfortunately, the lighting and reflections need some more tender loving care. You can tell if you look at the river while he’s flying on griffin at 4:50

The original trailer looked fantastic but this gameplay presentation just completely blew me away. Have not felt this hyped for a game since like the GameCube days. That's saying something.

if only the wand controls were input by the right stick in the same way you do flip tricks in skate 3.. it would be perfect for wand movements and flicks.. it will have a skill curve but it could be so in depth and limitless.. I see the sorting hat and that's great but we better get to go to olivanders and get our wand.. and since we have broom play, I better get to be a seeker or beater.. 😂

They nailed it for Harry Potter nerds - whether books, movies, or both. BUT also for non Harry Potter nerds - this just looks like a well made game whether it was HP or not. Soundtrack. Animations. World building. Seems like a well focused story and premise. Variety in game spaces, gameplay, characters, assets, etc.
I can't believe this new developer completely knocked it out of the park.
