CR absolutely needs to keep AWNP: Unplugged. I vastly prefer this format as it more closely resembles the original podcast format.
Considering all the interesting people CR knows, I can't imagine it would be difficult to find great guests to have on.

I actually enjoy both formats. Maybe they could split it into separate shows? Or have the "activity" episodes as specials? But yes this is very much in the spirit of the original and it's great, so I hope they keep it.
I would also like a Talks Machina with this format, basically exactly this but talking about CR happenings.
I would like to keep a filmed version of "the fun we done" too, though. Smash-cut editing it all together could go.

Hearing Liam's smooth voice acknowledge covid is refreshing compared to being openly mocked for my mask at work.
Sounds like people at your work are gonna get COVID, they probably lick subway handrails too.
And the shittiest part is that the mask doesn't even protect you at all the mask protects others, and those others refuse to reciprocate that protection.
@@evangregory14 unless you get a N95 one! I just got gifted one from the company Breathe Easy, and they protect both you and others, which is absolutely wonderful
@@kitpaint9989 problem is that the best course of action is to leave these masks for the healthcare workers on the frontline and it makes sense. Under normal circumstances everyone can protect themselves if we all wear masks but you know how that went and because of that we're using up masks meant for the soldiers in this fight effectively killing them and ourselves. I can't call it anything but stupid.
Masks dont stop viruses....but Hello it helps stopping to spread everything in general. Its a good safety precaution to take. Nothing wrong with it at all to wear a mask. Then again....I also wear gloves a lot of the time.

Been a huge fan since I started C2. I was at the end of my pregnancy which had been very difficult and feeling like I was losing a big part of my life. Then I see her! Shes a mom with a successful career and gets to have fun playing D&D. Gave me hope that I didnt have to complete give up everything. Now I'm a happy momma with a happy baby boy (turning 1 this weekend!) and balancing a full career. Plus, slowly discovering shes voiced a number of characters I've enjoyed.
Thank you Laura for being an inspiration.

I believe This AWNP Unplugged series shows why critical role works and is so successful. The cast genuinely cares for each other.

Please please, and I say this with sober non-joking seriousness, please don't stop doing this series. In this exact format. The world *needs* this, and in many ways kinda *exactly* this. It's open, vulnerable, honest, intimate, positive in it's "getting it out of our heads" getting it off our chests (even if by proxy) This series adds so much worthwhile heart to the world, just by being in existence, each and ever episode you've done (and hopefully will yet do).

oh that poor pool. hearing them talk about their kids make me miss my old roommates and their toddlers. the Toddlers energy got me thou the first few month but I moved out to a place of my own.
OMG, Laura! Thank you so much for mentioning Stephen Cosgrove. I've been trying to recall this author, his books, and the illustrator for YEARS. I used to check these out of my elementary school's library at every chance.
One thing I love about these long-form "podcast" or "webcast" or whatever the term is for AWNP-Unplugged, is you get to hear the normal speaking voice for everyone for extended periods. They're not doing accents, or shouting over a table, it's just a conversation between friends. And you realize how pleasant the voices of people like Liam and Laura are even when they're just talking.

i just want to thank you all from from the bottom of my heart for this series. life has been crazy difficult through this time but this show has given some relief from all the stress. you are great people and keep up all the great work you are doing.
There's something special about people just sitting down and talking about their lives. Even more so than the normal AWNP or Talks Machina because they're focused on content rather than just the people. I really hope this podcast/show will continue after the pandemic. It really fills a niche in my life.
Liam, many of us feel like when we are at our worst it is the "real" us, but that is not true. It's just as false as saying that the absolute best, shiniest side is the "real" us. We are all of it together.
I hope we get another season because this was genuinely great. This was just a very lovely time and an enjoyable listen

It feels like the way they keep repeating "the world is a nightmare" that they're under the impression that everywhere has it as bad as in the US, but for a lot of countries the virus has almost but disappeared. To echo Travis' words: it WILL get better. Stay safe
Being separated On either Side by an ocean sometimes has its benefits, what's really crazy is this country saw for months what was spreading across the globe and did nothing to prepare. I'm confident will pass through it and come out better on the other side

Well, you have an eviction crisis looming in the next few months so the nightmare is just getting started.
While that is true, here in Europe we see a little resurgence of the virus, as a lot of people get a lot more relaxed with the safety rules now. No way to know if its the beginning of a second wave, but its not good.

I'm catching up on campaign 2 during quarantine. By catching up, I mean the 18 months prior to quarantine I made it through about 30 episodes. In four months of quarantine I have made it through about 65.
Fun fact: It's healthier for the child and for the parents if the child is raised communally rather than solely by the parents, for exactly the reasons that are gone over in this episode.
It's strange, i'm not an american but due to corona i failed my final exams and now i need to redo the entire last year, my family is breaking apart due to massive stress at home and at their workplaces and i'm sitting here, listening to this conversation of three totally strangers while building a fantasy village-map online and... i'm just happy this very moment. And i think as long as i can appreciate these little moments of happiness, life can't be too bad or at least not bad enough to give up.
Good for you. Stay strong. I often feel like one of those white and indigo ceramic vases under pressure, forming more and more cracks. One day I may shatter, but that day is not today.
I truly hope and have faith that you're currently doing a lot better. Remember that you're loved and not alone.
