Since audience is small, the budjet is less and Pan Indian hits aren't there from Kerala... That's the only factor in which mollywood industry lacks..... But remember one thing, lots of technical revolutions were made in mollywood like first 3d film in India, "My dear Kuttichattan", which is a huge Pan Indian hit at that time..... There are lots of Pan Indian movies are in production in Mollywood, if any of them became Pan Indian hit again, then everything will changes

Malayalam movies as I have mentioned before can never open to big numbers like any other industry. Ticket costs are between Rs. 40-150/- in Kerala. In outside states, Malayalam movies run for hardly a week. I have myself witnessed it in Bangalore. You have so many movies coming up every week/month there is a good competition between the movies itself. They do not have the producers/budget like how a YashRaj or a Dharma would have to mount the movie in such a scale. Even if they do it, as off today how many actors can pull up a crowd of lets say what Pathaan did? I feel as an industry how Malayalam stands out is because of the rootedness, emotions, story occurence/locations all that impacts and instead of running behind the rat race of PAN INDIAN cinema, Malayalam industry should continue focusing on what they have been doing over years which is emotions, dark comedies, satires, current system etc. which is in their DNAs. For me as a Malayali a mass masala movie would be something like Narasimham, Valiyettan, Spadikam, Lelam, Commissioner etc.
The thing about malayalam film industry is it gets updated both technically as well as contentwise during each decade for the last 4decades except inn2000s. Its motive is like an indian alternate to korean film industry ie,best content, performances and technically strong even with minimum budget .

@@CAPTAIN-ey5hr If i say bheeshma parvam is unrealistic ghow come come KGF realistic
@@lostworld5667 is it kgf is realistic for you 😂
Most of the mass movies are unrealistic. It includes Kgf Bheeshma Parvam, RRR etc... You will say RRR is also realistic 😂
Nope bheshma was not that good Lucifer is best mass malayalm movie in recent times
Malayalam movies are not very popular but I prefer it to have niche appeal to cinephiles rather than make chapri masala movies like KGF
I am from from a malayali family , my family members went to theatre and saw kgf 2 4 -5 times. That's the power of kgf. Its okay for you to see your niche films but don't underestimate or insult another director's and their team's hard work.

Rating a industry based on mass 😅
Is ARIYiPPU or RRR be considersd pan indian
2:30 youtubers like you watch all the classic movies an industry and think that Malayalam makes all such movies, for instance, in the last 2 months Malayalam industry released 76 movies, only four movies could barely collect budget. Judge Malayalam movies by watching all the movies not the best curated content
Mollywood 🔥❤️😊✌️
Malayalam films are content kings but not so popular
Film Companion and UA-camrs like you are unable to fathom the success of Telugu cinema but you can't appreciate Bollywood because of the backlash of people, so you create a false narrative that Malayalam is better and popular but the reality is different
To be honest
Nowadays Malayalam cinema is overrated 😅
Malayalam cinema is the least popular among all other major industries
Mm..but you know malayalam industry got the second possition of national awards more different from the third positioned industry
@@sijinak7674i accept the fact that Malayalam industry has won many national awards but most of the Malayalam movies cannot satisfy all section of audience only mature audience can connect to Malayalam cinema most of the audience find Malayalam cinema slow and boring
@@vamshikciga4353 slow and boring, you also use the word 'matured'😀😀❤️❤️
@@vamshikciga4353 😂 its according to your concepts bro actually you guys only gets satisfaction from those meaningless, storyless masala entertainers
Bro Watch "Pulimurugan " u can see mass which is u are searching for
If you have to ask this question then i feel so bad for you and sorry for you. Please come down from your cloud. Vadakkan atrocities. Haha
🎉
Screenplay and content is wat we respect ahead of heroes.
Mollywood ☕️. The worst industry in south
Tamil is best in my opinion. But Malayalam best stories
exactly ..tamil films span over variety of genres whereas malayalam films havent yet gone into like actual sci fi or real horror or neo noir or stuff like that
I won't support "malayalam industry should make mass movies like other industries"
Relax man.. 😆.. It's not about you😁
