Only got into the series thanks to Definitive Edition but in those past 3 years I‘ve played all the other Xeno Games and now I‘m so excited to see what the Future holds for this Franchise.
The Future really is overflowing with Hope
This ending is a letter of great sadness from the developers. They knew this would be the last game and that this wonderful and rich story exploring the depths of the human condition will fade into obscurity, but that one day...maybe people will get to experience this later.

The way I liked to interpret it, "As long as people... As long as the universe desires it" meant "As long as the sales are high enough", and they weren't. The people did not believe in them, and the universe did not desire it, and the game died lmao it's a sad way of looking at it but I mean let's be real...

The final speech by chaos and KOS-MOS' goodnight are even more heartwrenching after all these years. It always felt like a call for help from the characters to the players; a "don't let us die out" message. We had the chance in 2019, and it wasn't enough for Bamco to consider it.

@@Waffl3B1Tthe Prequel DLC for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has a ton of Xenosaga callbacks with the final scene being very similar to the Ending to Xenosaga 3. Not to mention Bandai Namco and the Xenosaga series are both credited in the Game so people now hope that Xenoblade and Xenosaga are connected and that Xenosaga might make a return
Now that I‘ve finished this Game and with that, the entire Xeno meta-series, all I can say is:

After last scene of Xenoblade 3 Future redeem, finally Kosmos reach the world and every game in xeno series connect.
In xenosaga 3, on the postgame KOS-MOS character entry gets update mentioning her final fate but also mentions that "her body is enveloped by a BLUE LIGHT, could this be the signal of a new resurrection?"
Takahashi cooked even back in 2006…

I cannot believe future redeemed has linked itself to this... I'm gob smacked, awe struck and in total disbelief and amazement. The Xenosaga games will forever be close to my heart. They are the games I bought an American Ps2 for, that was over 20 years. Playing Xenogears on my Chipped PlayStation 1 has been about 25 years.... If this videogame saga can be finished by the time I leave this world, ill be a very proud and made Gamer. I love Videogames!!!! I hope on all hope we get some kind of a remaster of the Xenosaga.
And so, Xenosaga III ends, as does Xenosaga, and I have now seen the cutscenes for every Xeno game. This was quite the journey.
At least until Definitive Edition presumably adds more later this year...

Great story of Xenosaga 1-3. They connect well, especially great story about Kosmos, where we learned that she all along has a soul & a will & kept it secretive very well throughout all 3 episodes.

@Hkg 1 That it isn't the greatest series or game of all time and that it's nostalgia is what only drives it to being good. You're right many games have flaws but this series in particular was just butchered. For example, the comment mentioned that the stories connected well when they in fact really didn't. The second game is especially to blame various arcs to the story were left underdeveloped (Ziggy and Voyager especially and they were both the most interesting characters of the bunch) .
KOS-MOS keeping stuff hidden wasn't exactly on purpose and she really didn't keep anything hidden when chaos knew exactly who she was since the beginning. KOSMOS coming back as some divine Valkyrie what ever the fuck being is not happening. She is the hidden incarnation of Mary and already has angel wings on her. Back to my point when the series was unraveling it was literally getting quite demolished in terms of gameplay and story specifically to Shadow Hearts. I will say if they kept the art style from the third game and the elements of part 3 to the first 2 it would've been an incredible trilogy but it was just badly paced.
@Hkg 1 1 is good but wished the game play was more refined and the cutscenes to be cut down and make up for more gameplay elements and locations but I guess it wasn't bad for the first entry. Part III just had everything right from the first and second so yes you're right.
@Hkg 1 There's several people claim it to be after many years but everyone seems to agree that 3 is the best one though

Idk what they would make it about. Wilhelm is deceased and the testament's wills would have moved on. I'd say the series is just fine with staying like this. It's a nice happy-sad ending after all the bloodshed that happend. Just my opinion tho

Sadly, all Monolith staff move on from Xenosaga and all ideas intended for Saga and Gears are now used in Xenoblade (and Future Connected definitively proved that).

Go and watched all the cutscenes or something man, this series is truly amazing, you're in for a treat, whatever way you experience this story, it will be one you never forget.
It's too bad I never got to play Xeno-games before Xenoblades. I mean the ending of XC FR would've murdered me even harder with feelings as it already did. 😭

SPOILERS OF XENOBLADE 3: FUTURE REDEEMED
A lot of people are freaking out because the ending of XB3: FR, but I remind you there are a lot of inconsistences between both Xenoseries, like who discovered the Zohar (T. Masuda vs. Klaus) or who destroyed the Earth (Grimoire Verum vs. Klaus). In fact, it is shown to us that the Experiment affected the whole universe, so everyone who escaped the Earth were as doomed as the ones who stayed.
There's a connection for sure, as Dmitri Yuriev and Vector Industries existed in Klaus's World and this is the reason why KOS-MOS Re: (who have the data of the Low Orbit Stations inside her Core Crystal) and T-elos Re: exist, but I doubt they are connected in the way most people expect.
EDIT: According to Alrest Records, even Shion and Allen existed in Klaus' World, as they were the creators of the new KOS-MOS who awaken as a Blade later on.
I mean next game could simply be Xenoblade 4 but basically an actual spiritual successor for Xenosaga, where KOS-MOS returns or basically a different parallel universe of KOS-MOS, kinda like this as an example... Mihoyo's Honkai Starrrail basically reuses characters from Honkai Impact 3rd but they have no connection except the looks.

The scene were the sun rises at the end is nearly the same as the first scene of 2001: A space Odyssey. It was also the scene where Also sprach Zarathustra first played.

if I recall correctly, I remember there was a scene in the very end when kos mos hears chaos voice saying something about sleep until the universe needs them again. but why it doesn't appear on this video?

Xenogears IS that episode.
The 3 chapters of Xenosaga were the prequel to that PS1 game.
Except that XenoGears is considered Episode 5.
And now with the Xenoblade 3 DLC, it made that trilogy of games a prequel to Xenosaga.

i just finished futre redeem but i did not watch other than xenoblade series. can anyone explain to me abt this ending ?
So this a bit late but anyways. Xenoblade 3 and Xenosaga 3 happen simultaneously at the same time. With Xenoblade focusing on the people that stayed on the split Earth after the experiment and Xenosaga exploring what happened to the space colonies that escaped the experiment and the loop of Moebius.
At the end of Xenosaga, they find a way to return back to Earth (called Lost Jerusalem) and KOS-MOS is seen floating towards it, whereas we are shown in Future Redeemed that Lost Jerusalem is very likely the fused planet merging successfully from Xenoblade 1 and 2 as one.
