Thank you. Most of our customers do take really good care of their boats. What's funny is it's not even that old. Technology just advances so fast now compared to back in the day. 😊
Great tour! I know you are a fan of the older stuff. I see that too I my job, that the older boats have easily accessible parts to maintenance and the new ones often pack in to much stuff in to little space.
Always nice to see the older boats as compared to the newer models. Iam also more of an nostalgia individual, love original equipment. As always great video and keep them coming.
Thanks for another great video. Very much of interest for me as I have been looking at used Pursuit S408's and used Boston Whaler 380 Realm's. The Pursuit is probably much better performer but also more fishing oriented and I do not fish. I am looking just for day boat and weekending. The 380 Realm is designed specifically for day boating and overnighting/weekending. Might not end up with either one -- very few on the market and they are stupid expensive. In fact the Quality Boat branch in Clearwater has a used 380 Realm for sale. Are triple Yamaha 350's enough power for the S408? I know they switched to triple 425's after about 2019 or so. I never thought about a lack of spare parts for the S408 until you reminded me that Pursuit was sold and now no one handles service for old Pursuits. That could be a problem. Is there a fold-down bench seat on the transom of the S408? I thought the summer kitchen made it impossible to fit a seat there.
The 350s on the 408 are plenty. You are right that the seat is only on the 368 because of the stuff on the back of the 408. In my opinion the Pursuit is built better then the Boston Whaler. ☺️
Hey Justin, any tips on getting those accent pieces off from the hatches in the hardtop? My 385 OS ones are discolored and I was able to get most of the trim piece off except for the lip that goes up into the hard top. I have to get that out so I can mount the new ones.I’ve never seen so much freakin adhesive to hold those suckers in! Any advice would be much appreciated. Love your videos and keep ‘em coming.
Unfortunately the best way to do that is to remove the hatch from the top as well. Can be tricky but it's the best way because you can reseal everything as they have a tendency to leak over time. I have never tried to just remove and install the trim piece. I think the window has to come out to do the job 100%. Keep me posted if you figure out a way without removing it. ☺️
@@JustinLeeMarine That’s what I was afraid of! I half attempted to take the hatch out but that sucker is in the good with what seems to be 5200. The only thing I can think of using is an oscillating tool but I’m afraid of make a mess of the gelcoat.
I usually take a small flat head screw driver and a hammer. It's not 5200 but it is strong. Once you get a corner up you can work your way around the window. Take your time and it should come up.
Thanks for another great video, it’s always great to see an older boat in really good shape and to see older technologies.
