I was listening to mtg judges about the miracle mechanic. I know it’s controversial but I honestly like the fact that saying “it’s a miracle” it’s mandatory before casting a spell for its miracle cost.
Every time Brian mentions the Legacy for original Magic art tourney in Chicago, I’m reminded of the fact that after the event I saw him and asked Brian if he won and he simply responded with “does this look like a Rhystic Study?” and gestured at his MKM box. Never been so humbled so quickly
man, you saying it in the deck tech made me miss Shark Typhoon, and be extension, all X/1s that drew a card when they ETB'd, Baleful Strix and Icefang will always live on in my heart and collection, even though Orcish Bowmasters swiftly deletes them
@@thatotherquid3622 I could see spicier builds too, like maindeck plague engineer for goblins and orcs, main deck spell snare for beans and orcs, doorkeeper is a natural good counter, and maybe even a pendelvale if you want something spicy af
Yeah that mirror match was brutal they had the best cards to beat that deck which is beans, Lavinia, and absolutely narset. The shut off you beans, get card advantage of their beans, and you can’t use binding or force spells for free pretty much shuts off 90% of your deck with 2 cards
Agreed on Veil comment [43:00]. It's less good in interactive decks and more good in decks that want to shove. I find myself not putting it into the decks I run that have more intricate interaction options.
All bean stock decks are like hanging on to a ledge for the first 5 turns you either fall or climb up and murder them with card advantage so rarely to you just quickly steam roll people with bean stock you almost always play from behind then by the 5 you start pulling ahead of loose
Fwiw, Grixis Delver is not playing Mystic Sanctuary these days, and Bloodstained Mire actually fetches any of their duals. Leading on it can put Blue off of your opponents radar, so it's worth considering over the typical 2's split of Blue fetchlands
I agree about James. Being willing to lose in an environment where you have money on the table for the sake of exploration and research is commendable.
Always love the beans content! Is only one Force of Negation mainboard the new standard now because of combo decks being more hybrid with Bowmasters? I think I remember seeing two of them in the past in online decklists but not recently.
JUDGE! ... at 16:45 , Brian states that he can't chose to dredge Life from the loam due to Narset fiddling with the monarch trigger. So does Narset hampers the creation of the draw event, or it affects it and makes so that said event does nothing?
Dredge says you can replace a draw with dredging, Narset says you can’t draw, so there’s nothing to replace with a dredge. If you dredge all the draws in a turn then Narset never kicks in because you haven’t drawn any cards that turn, but once you draw 1 you can’t dredge anymore.
My only problem with this deck when I play it in paper is simply going to time because Uro isn't killing my opponent fast enough once I assume control of the game. I can play as fast as I want but when my opponents are staring at my board state and stalling for like 30 seconds every game action it leads to more draws than I'd like.
I've seen "Omega" getting used as an intensifier recently around the internet, so an "omega endgame" is like a "super-duper endgame" or a "giga endgame" or whatever. An endgame that's especially long/grindy/otherwise endgame-y. Not sure of the origin.

Flavor and actual judges agree
I say it's a miracle even if I mystical tutor for it. Someone literally threw a negate at me the last time I did this.

I love the new intro, but it still kinda gets me sometimes, especially when autoplay just puts this on after something chill xD

Looking forward to seeing Lethal Graveyard play Bloodstock this year. Thanks to you and Spunky, as always.

Is Grixis running zero basics at the moment? If so, Bloodstained Mire is correct.
Didn't get caught this time 😏

Hmm. Maybe try a second Forth Erolingas to help solve that?
Look at your watch frequently to make opponents play faster. Think during their game actions and make them feel like the slow player.
I like the new intro alot!
