You know any change to make it a 3kW charger?
The OBC obviously needs replaced to do that. Would a Formfaktor similar unit be there?
I got a wallbox to charge my bike and car. Way more convenient and save. Albeit this just pulls 1,5kW. An mine at least 3kW.

That's really interesting about the bike displaying different ranges for different riders. Does it calibrate this over time? And second question, if there were some upgrades made to the bike like switching to carbon fiber wheels, do you think the bike would eventually calibrate for the increased range that those might afford?

The bike adjust range displays even during a ride. It is constantly calibrating. Yes, the bike adjusts for everything, even carbon wheels and tire pressure.
If you tuck your knees into the bike at high speeds, you can see the range adjust in a few minutes.

Expensive hobby. I wonder how those poorly temperature controlled batteries will last. In cars the ones without a huge, sophisticated cooling system have gone bad very fast.

Actually, the LiveWire batteries are an automotive component. They are prismatic batteries manufactured by Samsung SDI. They are the same pack used in many electric cars . The cycle life for this pack is 3,000 cycles.

The LiveWire is much more than a hobby for our family. My son uses his daily to commute 110 miles round trip to his internship for college. He chargers at his frat house for free and his employer is allowing him to charge at their office for free.
A car getting 25 mpg would cost us $528 a month in gas. Plus, he saves about 20 minutes each way splitting lanes.

@@freedomiseverything The cooling system of a car's battery is not part of the cells used. As I said: being an "automotive component" doesn't make those pollutingly-manufactured batteries last, as we have seen with the Leaf and other cars without very robust cooling systems. I don't know, does LiveWire even have a preconditioning system either?
I prefer to use an engine made in the USA or Europe rather than South Korean batteries made from Chinese raw materials (possibly completely made in China...). You just compared the Livewire to a car: did you know that they still sell motorcycles with ICE engines? Many of them cost quite a lot less than the Livewire...the difference is a lot more than $528. So I maintain that it in fact is an expensive hobby. Well, at least you're supporting the Chinese military with all that extra money you're spending!

The livewire has a liquid cooling system. I like ice engines myself but this is a great bike. Amazing how people just come into a video and start fights. Why ?
