- In this video I took the ferry to Wanglang market to enjoy some local delicacies. Without really knowing what to choose I tried things that looked intriguiging to me. The most special one was probable the pork skin salad which was very delicious!

1 "Yam Nham" made from fried rice, pork skin, Nham (fermanted pork) Medium spicy, for me it's to spicy too.
2 "Hor Mok" made from red curry paste Thai people eat with rice.
3 Cheakwy or Grass jelly is a type of plant that when the juice is squeezed out, it becomes jelly-like.
4 The "Khanom Krok" you ate, I think it was probably filled with coconut or taro. It's probably not a mushroom.
5 "Roti" desserts that foreigners like to eat when visiting Thailand.

The coconut dessert is called "Khanom Krok", a Thai-style pancake that has been ranked in the top 10 of the world's best pancakes by Tasteatlas. There are many toppings, such as sweet corn, taro, spring onion, pumpkin, etc.
For Thai people, we usually eat it with coffee as a breakfast. High protein, carb, and high energy for a lovely morning.

I took a back when you ordered medium spicy for the salad. Don't underestimate Thai spicy😄.I think 'ped noi' is best choice for you. Some Thai people teach foreigner to say 'ped nid noi' but I think ped nid noi is ambiguous. It either means a little bit spicy or a little bit 'more' spicy (than normal). Trust me. I'm Thai and I'm not spicy person.

In Thailand, you never say Medium spicy because it is going to be too spicy for you , you have to order no spicy (mai ped )that is still spicy for you.
