Hell yea, was sold less than 1 minute in, after seeing it's going to be 2 movies released within 1 month of each other... I feel like I just ate 5 bags of jelly beans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Iron Claw is worth seeing as well as Dune part 2. Kevin Costner and Westerns go together like a hand in a glove (Yellowstone, Dances With Wolves, Hatfields and McCoys, Open Range and now Horizon). Yeee-haw!!! 🤠
Really? you so sure about that? Teasers are just that.....teasing with your mind. If it is anything near as the woke narrative driven 1883 at least I will be disappointed.
I am such a Kevin Costner fan. If this movie bears any resemblence of the quality to Dances With Wolves, I will drive hundreds of miles to see it. Stellar.
Hollywood has disappointed millions of us fans who grew up watching Westerns. Glad there are still throwback actors like Kevin Costner to keep the genre alive!
Just learned of this project a few months ago. Apparently been working on it for like a decade and bankrolled it himself. Might actually go back to the theater for this
@4Everlast that movie sucked other than the part that a friend of mine played. It was way to long and boring. I hope this one is as good as his other westerns.
@@hotrodcasanova3574 Good for your buddy, must off been cool. Boring? Nah, it's you that didn't get invested. It happens. Too long?! There's not a movie out there these days under 2:45 hours. It's all cause of your taste my guy, it's OK tho, there's NO movie that's for everyone, as long as we understand you're allowed to not like a good movie and we're all allowed to like a shitty movie, as long as we understand what makes a good movie good, and Open Range is as good as it gets.
Finally a Great American Western Again and the reason is Kevin Costner! Mr. Costner stands with the Great American Western Actors of the past and present and we can't wait to go to the movies and actually be entertained again!
This is a must-see for me. Great Westerns have always been a mainstay of classic movies. Costner is a master at this. And I think this will be a fair recounting of history for all involved.
Man I love Westerns - if they are done well, I watch them over and over again. And to have Kevin Costner - a true natural to the Western genre - makes it all the better. This looks like it's going to be an awesome movie!!
I believe Silverado was Costner's 2nd movie and I REMEMBER an interview he did...just a "kid"...and he talked about how being in a Western Movie was his dream as a kid come true. Some actors just have a niche they fill out, act out. and you can just see they were born to play the role(s).
I love westerns. I love American sagas. I watch this trailer everyday and I'm not ashamed to say it. I want to read and see more stuff like this. It's not just a bunch of violence. It's complicated and emotional.
Best western ever is Clint Eastwood's Josy Wales. The monologue between Ten Bears and Josy Wales are epic, and applies to world politics more than ever.
If you're interested in western books check out Louis L'Amour. I'm not a big western reader myself but really enjoy his books. Idk where you are from but I've always had good luck at thrift stores pretty much anywhere in the US. He was a prolific writer as well so many many to choose from.
My first reaction, before it even started, was, "he's already doing a great role in a great western, why leave and do this" and than, as I watched, I realized this this is different, and it looks so good. Perhaps different enough to really deserve a place. Certainly, it looked great in all respects, and while the gals all looked a mite too purdy, I'll go with it and see how it shakes out. If'n ya'll know what I mean.
kevin Costner was born for westerns since ever and he is a bloody great actor!!! i can list his movies which he has been great. God Bless Kevin Costner.
Was literally just reading books about the Oregon trail and westward expansion and thought to myself "omg what cool and amazing stories that can be told in movies with this" This looks very promising and I might go to the cinema for this even.
I consider Kevin a top dog with the OGs for westerns. Sad that all the OGs are gone or so old it wont take long. Old westerns happened to be one of my favorites and I use to say otherwise. This looks like it will add to it
It's filmed around Moab. Not sure if there were scenes down around St. George or not, but definitely moab. I was literally hunting in the LA Sals when they were filming the winter scenes, drove by the film operation daily.
Kevin Costner has become the successor to such Western "greats" as Gary Cooper, John Wayne and Randolph Scott, with the added gift of being a top notch film-maker. This looks like a timely treat for all "Oater" fans. Roll on!!
Just so those viewing this will know. There were both black cowboys and service men during this period of history that contributed in many ways. Perhaps one day they will get some form of cinematic honor. Please look up the historical accounts as I was quite amazed learning the history of the west. Blessings
I love that this a 2 part movie. Instead of stuffing everything into 2 hours, or making some overlong Scorsese type of film, tell the entire story over time. This is what we need more of.
If my memory serves me correctly, the last time Kevin Costner directed, produced and interpreted a western, he came out with a monumental masterpiece, let's cross fingers
Kevin Costner and Westerns are a match made in cinematic heaven. Can't wait to see him in this epic!
Just riding the money train at this point.... It's a bit played out, isn't it?
Seriously!!! Can’t wait
At least its just film instead of an unfinished series ......Oh wait ......
❤ IKR 🤦♀️
Kev knows westerns
Costner going back to an epic sized western feels so very right. Hell of a cast in this too.
Hell yea, was sold less than 1 minute in, after seeing it's going to be 2 movies released within 1 month of each other... I feel like I just ate 5 bags of jelly beans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know if you look at all the names and the faces… I’m sure Kevin will do fine..
Isn't he already doing that? Oh, check out his West Coast home in Monticeito(s). Lives like William Randolph Hearst, not a cowboy!
looked like a trialer generated by AI
doesn't look anything remotely on the same level as his previous efforts like Dances With Wolves
I guess everyone wants to be in a Costner movie, so they piled up.
Kevin Costner is from a different generation of actors and westerns is where he shines.
Amen
what are you all talking about...he shined in field of dreams. not westerns...he is no clint, wayne, russell, he was no errol flynn in robin hood.
He started in westerns too
He was a pup in Silverado
@@albundy8192did anybody say he was?
Dances with Wolves and Open Range, yes, Wyatt Earp not so much
First it was Dances With Wolves, then it was Wyatt Earp, then it was Open Range and now this. Love it!
although it was only his 2nd film - and he was reallly young - he was also great in Silverado - one of my favorite movies
Open range es mi favorita ❤
Don't forget Yellowstone even though thats a serie.

The score gives me a 90s movie nostalgia. Like those in legends of the fall or A river runs through it.
Unfortiunately the Acadmey demands they include woke garbage
Those were fantastic movies.
I watched 'Dances with Wolves' in the cinema in 1991 when I was 12 years old. Now I'm really looking forward to this movie, Trailer looks fantastic...
FINALLY! Ever since "Dances With Wolves" i have wondered WHY, OH WHY not another real epic western with Kevin Costner leading the whole damn thing?!
Watch Open Range.
Watch Wyatt Earp (1994)
Open Range
Josey Whales...Missouri boat ride.
@@H4CK61 Hard to believe that Open Range is already 21 years old! I watched that one in the theaters. Instant classic western.

Terrific Cast. Kevin in the directors seat after a long time. Eagerly waiting. Fingers crossed.

Remember when you first watched “Lonesome Dove”? Remember how it stuck with you for days? This movie has the same vibe. I can’t wait!
There is nothing that can top a Costner western. he is an amazing actor, humanitarian and so down to earth. Looking forward to this in summer
There is something that can stop it......he don’t seem to be able finish a project...he is the reason “Yellowstone” is in such a tailspin
Hope westerns are forever a part of movie culture, so many great stories & scenes. Costner is always top tier.
I haven’t been to a theater in almost 20 years. I’ll be going for this.
