They did investigate all day, removed leftover explosives that didn't detonate and the county is destroying it because the cost of trying to maintain it when it keeps getting vandalized etc has exceeded what they're willing to continue to pay. RC Christian only left so much much money in the trust for the space.
The blast almost certainly compromised the other blocks, and made them a danger to keep up. They might test for the explosive used, but there wouldn't be much of a point. It would be easy to make a shaped charge powerful enough to do this out of commercially available ingredients that anyone can purchase without a permit. My guess is Ammonal(Tannerite) inside a shaped container to focus the blast. Pretty basic stuff.
