Pay your employees. Pay them well. They make you those massive bonuses, you greedy bastards.

These folks are incredibly important to tourism, they deserve a good union contract

Don't forget the thousands of others working in the resorts that don't make a working wage. Patrol became the squeaky wheel by bringing a union into a part-time, weather dependent seasonal industry.

Higher skilled employees like snowmakers and groomers will definitely want theirs. Don't expect people serving food or lift attendees to do well, they'll just replace whatever Americans they have in these roles with indentured servants from third world countries.

And it was a genius idea.

They won't have as much leverage, because of skiers abilities to go to the other mountains. Park City is a standalone.

I'll never ski a Vail property again. My kids won't either.
Doubling and tripling lift ticket prices after property acquisition is not something we'll ever support.

You want to live in the community you work in? How are going to do that when it’s just 15 million dollar second homes. I think you will have a long drive to work everyday or work three jobs. Get real

Vail pays ski patrollers the lowest starting wage for hourly workers, despite being EMT’s on skis. Boycott all Vail businesses!! Their mountains suck anyway, I was in management at 3 resorts for them and finally quit over their profit over people philosophy.

Having worked for Steamboat, i am definitely in favor of a real living wage for these essential employees.

Vail has economically changed the local communities they have taken over. The colateral damage is hard to measure, increased property values, taxes, basic cost of living..... Elevating the cost of living and expecting to pay on a depressed scale.... Step on the peope you need is a poor business plan. Greed one of the 7 deadly sins.

Vail deserves even far worse publicity that they are getting. Horrible for the ski /snowboard industry and culture.

For real! Buying an epic pass is trading cheap ski access today for worse ski quality tomorrow. It’s like supporting any other massive conglomerate that only care about expansion
