The 18th season of "America's Got Talent" returns with a new set of aspiring performers looking to compete for the ultimate $1 million prize. Some excellent high notes and solid showmanship - singing the signature song from Coco in two languages is a great way of impressing audiences who have little familiarity with Mariachi music beyond that song...

I just love this kid! He sounds beautiful and seems to have “an old soul”. He commands the stage and it does seem inspired by his great-grandfather. I love seeing family and cultural tradition kept alive like that! And a child so young caring to carry on family tradition. We need more of this in the world!
And I LOVED that Simon gave him kudos for “staying true” to his music and cultural style. That was important and I am glad no one tried to get him to do something else.
