It's not that playing her inherently makes you become worse, it's primarily that you don't need to develop the same type of skills needed to survive that other heroes force you to, hence why they seem to play so baddly
She is a hero that demands no respect from her opponent durring her offense which makes her very oppressive, as such if you dont actively try to improve at the game while using her the moment their opponent breaks their offense and gets into their own they don't actually know how to handle it, so they just try to disrespect it...which makes it extremely predictable
So it's more like stagnation and reinforcing bad habits than actually making them worse. They stay the same skill level throughout their playtime, it just happens to be quite the bad skill level

So so true. Stopped playing Hito and Shugoki couple months ago. My K/D and win rate plummeted, but finally learned to light parry and make more reads. Having way more fun - feels more rewarding playing well.
