Limit of the function of two variables:
In the case of the function of two variables, there are two types of limits: Simultaneous limit or double limit and repeated limit or iterated limit.
Relation between simultaneous and repeated or iterated limits: simultaneous limit of a function exists at a point then iterated
limit exits and are equal at that point but it's converse need not be true.
By taking the contraposition statement of above, we get the condition for the non-existence of the simultaneous limit: if iterated limits of a function are not equal at the point then limit
does not exist at that point.
The uniqueness of limit :
If the limit of a function of two variables exists then it is unique.
Continuity:
The function is continuous at a point if the limiting value is equal to the exact value at that point.
Algebra of continuous function:
The sum of two continuous function is again continuous. Product of two continuous functions us again continuous. And then Intermediate value theorem and Fixed point theorem for the function of two variables is discussed.
