- Morning everyone,
As you can tell from the video I was in my element last weekend making a couple of items that were firsts for me, Boho beads & lace snippet tabs, and I couldn't wait to share them with you..... thank you for indulging me!
A massive shout out to Angie (Mountain Girl Studio) for her tutorial on the lace rustic tabs & tabs : • Rusty Tabs and Tags T... and for the hours and hours of fun I had making my efforts.
Thanks for watching,
C.xx

How gorgeous are these?!!! Wow Carol I am in awe. Might have to give it another go with Angies tutorial. I love them . tfs xo
Thanks, Gina. Think you can tell I’m hooked on them..lol. C.xx
How delightful everything is, very busy weekend!
Hmmm, should really have been doing other 'stuff' but just had to have a play...lol. C.xx
They would make wonderful pendants. You do wonderful art work❤😊
Karen, that is so kind of you to say, bless you. Actually, yes they would. Brilliant idea. Hmmm, perhaps I can see a couple of Xmas pressies this year.....lol. Hugs C xx
Beautiful boho beads and sweet little snippets and tabs! TFS the inspiration!
I am just in love with those little lace snippet tabs. Definitely going to be making more. C.xx
Gee, thanks Carol - just what I needed, yet another project to add to my list!!!!!!! ha ha ha. Those tiny snippets are just EXQUISITE, especially the last one with the tail of pink chiffon, LOVE IT! Looks like another tutorial I'd better check out. As for your boho beads, you did a great job! I'm lucky enough to own a beautiful one that Jacqui made ... it's GORGEOUS but I'm not sure about making them myself, I think I'll leave that to the experts. Thanks again for sharing ...
Hi Leanne, glad you liked the video. Yes, aren't they gorgeous wee tabs. Definitely know what you means about your list.... I have one of those too and it only ever seems to increase! My motto is that I can't pop my clogs until its all done. Seems I'm going to be around a few centuries at this rate...YEA! Have ticked boho beads off my list and not sure I'll be revisiting those in a hurry...lol. Now to clear up all that glue! Hugs, C.xx
@@oakhousejournals Ha ha ha .... love your motto, I might have to adopt that one!
You have been busy! Love all the items. I’ve often seen the boho beads and thought that I must give them a go soon...haven’t as yet lol. The tabs are so cute too...added to my list of “to do’s!” I have some of those coil-less safety pins...one fine day! Thanks for sharing 💕
I know! I know! My 'to do' list never gets any smaller...lol.Definitely not complaining though. I love trying out new ideas and besides I have a moto: I can't pop my clogs until I've done everything on my craft to do list...So I'm keeping it very loooooooong . Hugs, C.xx
Hi Carol, what fun embellishments you made💕
Thanks Kathleen. Glad you liked them. C.xx
I adore your little snippets and your boho beads. I've just become obsessed with boho beads. Now I'm going to try your snippets. Hugs, new subbie here, Diana.
Ohhh the snippets are sooo addictive. I absolutely adored making them. Have fun. C.xx
These little snippets and boho beads are gorgeous, love how they turned out I might just get around to trying those myself TFS
Hugs and Smiles
Good job Carol! I just got thru making me some too for the first time. They can be quite addictive but once you get the hang of it really fun to create. So pretty! xo, Barbie
Hi Barbie, I actually did get into a bit of a roll with the Boho beads after making a couple & despite what I said on the video, I’ll probably make them again in the future... I was just being a drama queen! Lol. I’ll have more use for the lace tabs in my journals & simply adored making those, which is lucky. I can see me making oodles. C.xx
Your so funny Carol! I am with you, even though they were a bit tedious at times I kept on making them. Now my sister who is a bit of a craft hoarder, is sending me a huge box of all sorts of Swarovski crystals, her hand made lamp work beads and other gems for me to make more Boho Beads so be on the look out for a plethora of Boho Bead tutorials. Haaaaaaa.. I do love your little snippets and what to give it a go.. I got me some of those coilless pins so I am ready to go..Have a great day, xoxo’s Barbie
Oh how wonderful Barbie, how lucky to have a sister kind enough to pass on those treasures. Take a look at Jacqui Chimes' four tutorial step by step series on making the boho beads. It was all I needed to get me going. The lollipop sticks I got off Amazon for pence and they worked a treat. I think using straw as the shaft would be too fragile myself. See what you think. Hugs, C.xx
Hey Carol we must be on the same wave length, I was looking for some videos to watch last night and found Jacqui’s tutorial and yes I agree the straws didn’t work for me. I found some paper bead rollers on EBay and they are perfect. Bonus is you can use your scrap paper! Yea!! Also watched the video you suggested on making the page tabs so I guess I better get busy right!! LOL! I may make a haul video when I get my sisters box..Got to run and make some of those pretty page tabs for my Gypsy Cowgirl Journal.. Have a great day crafting, xo’s Barbie
Wow...such lovely boho beads and snippets 😍! I love all the little details. I will have to give them a try!
Watch out for the glue.... mine went everywhere and I'm usually pretty good with wet glue too. Not this time though...lol. C.xx
Your beads are so pretty!
Oh thank you so much. Thrilled you liked them. C xx
❤BEAUTIFUL ❤
Thank you so much. Glad you liked them. Thanks too for watching. C.xx
Beautiful!!! Tfs 💕Nita
Both projects are so very lovely!! TFS!! Hugs, Liz:)
Thank you so much! C.xx
🤩❤️😍
I saw that tutorial as well and now that I've seen your lovely little snippets, I'm definitely going to have a go. I think they will be ideal for the journal that I'm working on at the moment which is from a small German book from the 1800s and is called Bluten und Perlen (flowers & pearls). Hugs from Norfolk.
Helloooooo Norfolk, your current journal sounds gorgeous. Can’t wait to see it. Will you. Share some pictures with me? Go on, have a go at the lace tabs. So pretty & easy to make if you follow the tutorial, which is excellent. Hugs from ’sunny’ Lancs. C.xx
Simply stunning! As always Carol you create exquisite pieces. I’m very inspired to try making both. I’ve tried looking for the coiless safety pins and can only find large ones. Did you find the small ones in the uk?
Hi Jeany, thanks for your lovely comment. I got mine (Darice Coiless Safety Pins-.75" Nickel 100/Pkg) on Amazon but I’ve just gone on to get the link for you and they are showing as unavailable. Perhaps keep checking to see if they come back in stock. C.xx
OMG... i love the tabs soooo much, but i have no idea how you did them...love love love them..do you have a tutorial on how to make them?? Lovley greetings from Germany Britta 😘
Hi Britta, the tabs were my take on Girl on the Ridge's video tutorial on rustic paperclip tabs. I was just playing but they are absolutely the best fun ever to make. If you can't find the tutorial just let me know and I'll find the link for you. Love & hugs, C xx
@@oakhousejournals that is so lovley from you😊 i cant find the tutorial but i have a idea on how to make them.. 😁 you dont have to take a look.. but thank you so much ❤ habe a great day😘
I've just noticed you've uploaded a video on your tabs.... off to take a look. Have to say I loved making these and will definitely be making some more. Have a great weekend. Hugs C.xx
