Hello guys.
New video is here and ofcourse with recent release of Project Cars 3, I decided to look at some of the Slightly Mad Studios previous games. Project Cars 3 is in my opinion best Project Cars game (maybe because I dont like sim racers, cause Im not good at them :D) and with this recent game I have most fun, so naturally I like it. Some said that its very similiar to NFS Shift and that this game is spiritual successor to NFS Shift 2 and I can see why. Overall its a good game. Hope you like this video, I made few changes with design of my video, hope thats good too.

I wanted to and its my wishlist including PC3 but No PC
I did Shift 100% all Stars and all Shift 2 all Stars this Summer on PC obviously. They are still a lot of fun. The Tuning is still great and I love Works Conversions, more games should do this kind of stuff. The Handling Model isn't the most realistic but still fun. I was always really consistent with my lap times and mastering corners is very addicting. I will definitely buy PC3 when it's on sale.

Project CARS 1 & 2 also are unbeatable.
Shift 2 has the perfect loudness of the cars. Like it's really loud like it should be. Also there's real-like transmission whine in the cars which is sick af.
Not to mention that they actually gave you the sense of actually going as fast as the speedometer says unlike most racing games even today where it will say you're going 180mph but it seems like your barely going 100mph
The whine is still present in PCARS, it's not very audible on the outside tho
Still shift has something that other track games don't have
Now i play Forza 4 and 7 bit shift is better for me
I can't really describe it but Shift 2 still looks and feels better than current games.

Those who worked on the Shift games really knew what they were doing and 100% accomplished that immersion feeling they were going for in the cockpit cameras, they remain unbeatable to me.
It's the same developers of project cars, slightly mad studios

@@leonius exactly his point. Having the same devs doesn't mean they'll make the game as good as their old ones. Shift 2, excellent. Years later... PC3, meh. Then Slightly Mad came up with "that" game
because they were working together with real pilots and race clubs in the FIA GT3 and GT1 series.
Project Cars is just NFS Shift with better handling physics.

You might want to normalize those audio files before making comparisons... Everybody will turn up or down their systems depending on what game audio sits at. To have PC3 so quiet doesn’t really give it a fair shake.
The engine sounds in FM8 still as rough as PC3.
Shift 2: pure raw engine noise
Project Cars:little more refined with details
Project Cars 2: less loud less details
Project Cars 3: really dumbed down very muffled
NFS Shift 2 unleashed did better on physics customizations sounds etc than all project cars games

2024 here, 2 years after LoveLive Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Anime Season 2. PROJECT CARS 1 & 2 and NFS SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED are still underrated game years after release!
Shift 2 tuning is very detailed like the legend Underground 2. Shame they didn't apply that again in later NFS
NFS UNBOUND almost matched the very detailed tuning system like NFS SHIFT 2.

What about Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends, the game that Slightly Mad Studios put out between Shift 2 Unleashed and Project Cars? That game used the same engine as Shift 2.

Shift 2 Unleashed have the sense of speed and the intense feeling that are not in all 3 Project CARS.
You can change your POV settings in Project Cars 2 to give it a better sense of speed.

The GTR sound comparison is irrelevant. The GT1 version has a naturally aspirated V8, while the GT3 version has a twin turbo V6.

You guys and your engine sounds. I have always played racing games according to how it handles and I prefer simcade. Having fun is most important to me then the graphics.
only in the Nfs Shift 1 and 2 Unleashed duology did spur gears take care of howl, although Slightly Mad Studios developed this dilogy and the three parts of Project Cars and could also make the same sounds for the trilogy, sorry for the taftology

You can! Just install an older Microsoft OS. ( other than Windows 10 ) Older operation systems support older games, of course. If you want to play way more older games like NFS II SE, just do a little research. You can play such games by installing an additional software onto your computer called 3dFix or nGlide.
You can play upto NFS Underground on Win 10 itself

Shift 2 is definitely better than the other 3 of project cars games. First factor is modification system. Shift series are giving like unlimited improvemnt that on your car but the others is not that good without project car 3. Also the another thing is atmosphere. Shift series are not gonna be get old, i think. So in conclusion, according to that all things SHIFT series STILL BEST OF THE TRACK RACING GAMES !!!

Yessir,. PC1 is better than PC2 in both physics and graphics. I sold my PC2 and bought PC1. PC1 is as good as AC. The sound of PC1 inside the cockpit is so good, especially the throttle response sound on downshifting
