I miss Book City so much. It was shattered in the '94 earthquake, I spent many a fine afternoon there in the 30 years I lived in Burbank. I miss Hollywood Book Castle too, it was right next door. I miss bookstores, magazine stands and video stores, once all over Burbank.
I personally believe one side of the mountains that separate the valley from dtla, Hollywood, Beverly hills should be called Los Angeles on one side, the side with Burbank, needs a different name. I don't consider it LA.
I luv Burbank
Remember, Book Castle-Movie World?
That was a great place!
My God has Burbank changed since the 60s. I worked at Book City in the early 80s. The downtown has changed since then dramatically.
Yes Book City closed a couple years ago I think.
Thank you for watching.
