I had the great fortune of dancing all night with Finnigan & Wood in Lawrence. When the Internet took off one of the first things I did was search for a good copy of the Crazed Hipsters LP that I wore out. I have just about everything he did with his solo and PBB work and have done my best to pass his music on to my kids. I got in touch with Mike by email in LA just to express my appreciation and he was very gracious. What a life! ❤ 🎹 👑
I met Mike at Me & Ed's in Manhattan KS is 1967. My band opened for the Serfs and Mike simply blew me away. I played a Cheesy Farfisa Combo Compact, and when I got to play his B3, i was HOOKED! I had to get one and I eventually got one. I knew then and there that Mike was destines for bigger things. He was head and shoulders above anyone I had ever heard. He has been my hero since day 1. RIP Mike.

RIP Mr Finnigan followed you since the 60's. Remember this concert well at Knuckleheads. Heaven needs a Hammond and it's going to sound so perty at the pearly gates.
I had no idea that you worked more in KC back when we were in ha. I used to go to Dearmore’s in Wichita on Fridays and Saturdays to listen to you with the Surfs” (I think that was the name back then. We drank 3.2 beer & sweated the beer off, dancing in that basement on Harry. Many happy memories from the ‘60’s

Mike Finnegan is one of my musical hero's going all the way back to the 60's. Man I love hearing him swing the blues on the keyboards.
