You needed heavy wall box section for that to absorb the heat. So the dissimilar metals didn’t bond. That’s why Ingot moulds are made from heavy cast, to spread the heat in cooling. I have all the tools for you to do this and happy for you to take them

why didn't you slide the ram in using cylinder shape metal not hollow like fire extinguisher or gas bottle but solid piece ? is there a way you might be able to install some rollers for future repairs? sorry to hit ya with the double question. It's also mad you brought a forge as two days ago I also brought a forge. I just need some borax to clean the metal while smelting and I also need gas lol. but very soon I'm sure I'll be walking around with no eyebrows from trying to watch it melt haha. Who decides what the grade is, I always remove brass fittings, brass olives, cut off badly soldered joints and even remove paint from copper pipe, I know what im doing but the bloke on the scales cant understand english and I heve to type my own postcode so how can he grade my copper.

U have a long cable on the gas bottle to keep away from furnace.heat the mood first as u pored it into the mood and it could have spit all over u as it was on the table doh, dangerous or what. Also that copper it’s only classed as no 2 . If u class it as no1 then would u accept it as no1 from your customers.
This was the most ADHD science experiment I’ve ever seen and I loved every minute of it all the way until the end😂

After you drill the hole in bottom press it back out can always use it that way then
U put borax in it as u melt and scrape the slag/waste off the top so u have clean ingots

You should start melting down your copper with an industrial furnace into 100% copper ingots. They sell for a much higher price

You should be using a graphite mold for your melting but i love the content
Maybe next time when u melt copper or any over metal use sand as a mold then u won't have the problem u had when u melted melted copper
