    I'm so pumped to introduce my latest vehicle purchase: a 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser (FZJ80 Series). Joining my 90s vehicle fleet (1996 BMW M3 and 1996 Mazda MX-5 Miata), the Land Cruiser will slowly be transformed into an overlanding vehicle for the many adventures I have planned. Several modifications are in the works, but the very first upgrade is to install a Front Runner Slim Line II roof rack.

    Hi, I just saw your video, I have a 94 Landcruiser with about 340,000 but 240,000 on the engine, It's still going strong, I bought it from someone selling it along the side of the road in 2008. Right now with the gas prices I only use it as a Ranch vehicle, it goes to the feed store and home depot. Still runs great! Cloth Upholstery still in good condition. ??
    I would like to sell it but don't know exactly where to start

      Gas prices are keeping me from driving mine much too! I'd recommend starting on Land Cruiser forums (IH8MUD is a good one for off-road enthusiasts). They'll know the value of your vehicle best.

    Would buying a 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series FZJ80 for $6K with 165K be a good price? Of course it needs some fixing, I’m just really new to this

    • @MilesPerHr
      @MilesPerHr  2 роки тому

      In the current market, that would be an amazing price. What needs to be repaired? If its any less than $15K in repairs, it's worth it.

    Whats the mpg? I am looking to buy one right now and am curious to know. Please let me know!

    • @MilesPerHr

      I got 12.5 mpg stock (like this), then I added a rooftop tent. Now I average 11.5.

    Congratulations, Miles!
    I recommend that you finish all of the updates before your wedding day, because you’ll just get guilt tripped after that.

      Thanks Mitchell! Fortunately, my fiancée really wants me to do the mods so we can take the truck on trips. We'll save for our future kids for sure - just not yet :)

      Nicolas Carone I started driving in 2005, but I grew up loving 90s vehicles. I love this color. Do you have the tan leather interior?

    • @AB1DE
      @AB1DE 5 років тому +1

      MilesPerHr yep! Tan interior, leather. Not sure how much I want to put into it... I took all the seats out and using it to haul stuff for my burger stand! It fills 2 purposes - 1.) Van 2.) Dream Truck! Thanks for your replies!

      @@AB1DE Just add as you need over time. I thought I was going to do a million modifications right away, but I've only done a few that make my goal (overlanding/camping) easier. That's awesome that it can work for you in those ways too. Glad to find a fellow 80 Series fan!

    That is bad ass! I’m in North Hollywood right now been looking for one of these for awhile. How long did you look before you pulled the trigger?

    • @MilesPerHr
      @MilesPerHr  4 роки тому

      Thanks! I'm so happy with this truck. I looked for a good 5-6 months before I settled on this one. I specifically wanted cloth interior and low miles. My advice would be to make sure you pick a Cruise with good service history - mine had a lot of deferred maintenance, so there was a bunch of expensive work to be done upfront. When all that was finished though, I had a super reliable, capable, and good lookin' truck. Best of luck with your hunt!
