Interesting what you define as punk. Never mind the structure of the songs, the keys and lyricism used. Yes, of course there are many elements taken from punk, but I would say this band draws more deeply from ska's primary roots: reggae, and even a bit of that puerto rican reggaeton flavor, especially in songs like this.
They have a horn section, and thats pretty much it. Without the horns it would sound exactly like punk. So yeah it would be more like "trashska" if anything but their own sound is truly unique. The only songs that even have a "ska" feeling to it is songs from the remake of Keasby Nights. Catch 22 (with tom in it) wrote the songs and Catch 22 is a ska band.
Ah Ha! A good dose ska, or as I call it, REAL MUSIC, is a great pick me up. (Im not saying that other music sucks, I myself listen to Alternative Rock but this much better.)

@Lrvinator I said the same thing not too long ago.
3 people will fall alone.
2 people are falling alone
2 ppl didnt fall with us
Better not say that. Combine those two words together and you get "Junk". And this is definitely not that.
@DavidSGoin I did the same exact thing.
Tomas has frequently branded it "trash ska".
But whatever, i know i'm listening to good ass music so i dont really care what its "labeled" as.
What's more, what do you mean " streetlight isn't ska; they don't like to be called as such, either"? RIDE THE FOURTH WAVE, BRAH.
Even i did :3
You are incorrect there, sir.
