Mahanati titled Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil, is 2018 Telugu-Tamil biographical period film based on the life of South Indian actress Savitri. The film is directed by Nag Aswin and produced by C. Ashwini Dutt's Vyjayanthi Movies Banner. It stars Keerthy Suresh in the titular role, Dulquer Salmaan, Samantha Akkineni, Vijay Devarakonda in other pivotal roles.
Keerthy Suresh is an Indian film actress who appears in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films. She is the daughter of Malayalam producer Suresh Kumar and Malayalam actress Menaka. Keerthy made her debut as a child actress in the early 2000s and returned to fill lead roles after completing an education in fashion design. She played her first lead role in the 2013 Malayalam film Geethaanjali and has signed up for films in Tamil and Telugu as well. Her 2nd Malayalam movie was Ring Master directed by Raffi with Dileep in the male lead role.
Samantha Akkineni is an Indian actress and model. She has established a career in the Tamil and Telugu film industries, and is a recipient of several awards including four Filmfare Awards. She has emerged as a leading actress in the South Indian film industry.
