Nice! I'm gonna have to look at starting squash seed early, something I've never done cuz it direct sows so easy...but that always puts me in a war with the SVB!!! I've all but given up growing squash because of it. Something to look forward to next year, thanks!
Yeah, such a frustrating pest! I’ve found a mature plant can survive 6 ish weeks from when the SVB lays its egg. So we are planting another set of squash direct sown under netting right now. If these die from SVB the next set will be up and running by that point!
@@TheGardenFamily I found some old squash seeds that I'm gonna check germination on. If they are still viable, I could make some room in my bolted greens bed for a few plants. Like I said, I've all but given up on squash but ya got me excited!
Very impressive harvest! I loved seeing the Brassicas. I also love the hand carved bowl. That's gonna be a family heirloom to be cherished some day.
