The Tories messed up HS2, Rwanda and Brexit
RR is transparently trying to smile and talk her way out of a deep, ideological hole she has dug. The electorate does not buy it.
Who cares if they buy it or not they don't get a say for 4 years
@@supremeworld87 I somehow feel they need to be held accountable earlier. I can see her and Starmer being brought down by their party, at least.
@wholelottavideo8381 that's not how our democracy works. They will be held accountable at the end of their term not before. They deserve the time to prove themselves and if at the end of that 5 years we haven't gad the change they promised then sure it's only right they be voted out.
I do t know where this notion comes from that Reeves and Starmer will be done in by their own party, why would they? They're just following Morgan McSweeneys road map, hrs the one really running things
@@supremeworld87 You will when the economy collapses.
@@wholelottavideo8381 No, they're different from the Tories.
Every time Jonathan Ashworth open his mouth I'm reminded how lucky we are that his constituents think as highly of him as I do.
Never in economic history has there been an economy that has grown from high taxes, increased regulation, increased government borrowing and spending, increased pressure on the private sector and an over reliance on the public sector. It's the private sector that creates growth. The public sector consumes the revenue generated by the private sector. The private sector is looking on in absolute despair. The business and investment community outside the UK are looking on and wondering why anyone with any sense would ever come near the UK. The Labour Party guy who spoke clearly values the idealism of socialism over reality. Once again, Labour will bring the UK to its knees. Why won't they ever learn.
Absolutely right
Brilliant comment - Well said. Absolutely spot on.
@DaveYBrit 100% correct with your analysis. Sadly the Champagne Socialists want to enforce their ideology to us.
@DaveYBrit bring the UK to its knees? I think youll find the tories already did that. Labour will pick us back up.
Time will tell won't it. Maybe we can revisit in 2 years and see where we're at. @@supremeworld87
A runway, a railway line and a football stadium. Not lets just think about this. When was the last time a country based their 5 year growth plan on that?........
Black hole or no, how is growth produced by clobbering businesses with taxes? Basically it was stupid to do this. Reeves should have raised income tax on the black hole warrant - if it was a genuine warrant.
So raising income tax is a good thing now?
@supremeworld87 I didn't say that. IF the black hole is a fact (and some say half of it was the govts own making) then how to deal with it? If your 5 year spending plans rely entirely on economic growth (which is what they said before the election) then it is stupid to clobber your mechanism of growth, which they've managed to kill off in the first budget. They also stupidly attacked pensioners and farmers with knee jerk money grabs that were unplanned and unable to isolate and mitigate against real need. In just those circumstances and if there was a genuine warrant then raising income tax was by far the fairest strategy.
The ATC should have denied the helo permission or revoked it when seeing them close. Sad tragedy, but completely avoidable.
Yes Rachel from the ‘complaints department’ is shockingly poor. However as someone who works in the private sector you left office with taxes at a 70 year high & a massively growing public sector. I have never paid so much personal tax for so little in return. Reform U.K. is the only way to break this substandard quality of politician that we in the U.K. have endured for way too long.
I wonder how bad things have to get before Jonathan Ashworth admits we have a problem.
Surely ID cards are now needed more than ever with the extent of immigration into the UK, modern slavery and foreign criminal gangs operating with impunity. We don’t need ID cards to access services but for the Police and law enforcement agencies to immediately establish an individual’s identity. I want to be kept safe and also not to feel others are exploiting their presence in the country.
what nonsense from penny mordant.
The Tories brought in IR35 and put taxes up to levels never seen before.
I am self employed. It was the tories that clobbered me !!
Reform need to be added.
Jonathan Ashworth EX LIEBOUR MP what a waste of space? but still on side. TIME FOR RR TO RESIGN
I was hoping PM for PM. Would the course of history have been changed?
Plus she needs to explain her plan for renewing our infrastructure which is beginning to fall apart. What new housing will we build to home our present and future inhabitants. How she will increase our defences without collapsing our economy.
Rachel from accounts hasn’t got a clue.
The way we get the public sector to move faster is to vote Reform……a large% realise this! What colour is Peter mandlesons tongue today?
Listening to this former COVID cabinet minister talk about helping business, your party and government shut down the UK economy for YEARS !
I’m fine for private services to have my data, but not the state.
Why is this useless Chancellor RR still in Post? as her Budget has Failed as slammed by B of E and OECD?
She needs to resign NOW! Or be SACKED if KS has the BALLS to do this?
Find a real economist!
Support the OAP’S, WASPI's and the FARMERS * STUCK FARMER*
Because Starmer hasn’t a brain and he needed a loyal female brain. Not that she’s a very good brain, but he’s a very poor PM.
Please come back Penny
@@austinallen7897 you must be a glutton for punishment if you want that abhorrent clownshow of a party back already.
The good guys are in power now
It's not up to Penny though, is it ?
Rachel from Accounts
Wow hilarious never heard that one before 🙄
"Rachel Rubbish" - Totally out of her depth and a proven liar.
@ Have you read her CV? It’s quite impressive
@GhostRider-g3f no have you? Funny how everyone's so fixated on her CV for some reason when that's literally never been the case with any previous Chancellor in recent memory. Were you talking about Hunts, kwartengs or sunaks CVs too? Somehow I doubt it.
@@supremeworld87 Rachael from Accounts will grow the economy ten fold.
This nit wit was thrown out because he was useless so asking him to comment on the economy is stupid.
100% 😂😂
"Trans women are women!" Get lost Penny
She’s a joke, they had fifteen years to sort the economy out , Brexit under their watch which was a disaster.Liz Truss and that disastrous budget.
I lost a third of my pension value thanks to that.
Party gate , COVID contracts for useless PPE.
I can go on.
Pot and kettle come to mind.
Reeves has confidence unfortunately she doesn’t have a clue how start growth
I find it inexcusable that Govt departments move at such a glacial pace when it comes to consulting, reporting but above all decision making. Ministers seem to deliberately avoid making uncomfortable decisions by sitting on reports, recommendations etc in the hope that the problem will go away. PMs should be making Ministers much more accountable for their inaction or at least fess up to the reason (generally political or financial) for the delay. This would not be tolerated in any commercial organisation. I actually feel we can no longer live with part-time Ministers trying to be CEO’s. We should have Govt appointed Chief Executives and the Secretary of State should be the Chairman of the Department with final decisions signed off by him and a Board of executive and non executive directors. It is too big a job to pretend to be running a Department, be a Cabinet Minister with all the political issues around Govt and also be a constituency MP. Unfortunately it seems that under time pressure it is their Departmental duties that suffer.
Heathrow isn’t going to happen, nor the railway, it’s a sop to the market that sees the British economy going over a cliff. The market won’t buy it and they will resort to the old standby printing money.
We need a trump 👑
The Tories shouldn’t have been so dreadful
I suppose Mordaunt is looking at the leadership as she is suddenly very visible
You’re deranged.
She isn't even an MP anymore? 😂
@ does that mean she can never be an MP in the future?
@@chieftandriver703 No but it's unlikely considering the conservative government she was a part of was a shambles, if the conservatives do get in again it will be more likely under a completely new set of MP's with a new image and changed goals.
@@chieftandriver703 No but it's unlikely considering the conservative government she was a part of was a shambles . If the conservatives do get in it will be under new leadership with new MP's and a different vision. Whatever Penny says or does now will be pretty irrelevant by then.
1974 to 2024 Labour were in government for 18 years out of 50 years. Both times after leaving government, John Callaghan, Gordon Clown, this country was fucked. Another 4 years, it will again be fucked 😅😅
@@PhillipCraven-yp9jf it’s already efffed up after just 6 months of having the children in the room
@Geoff-n1d no it was effed up by 14 years of tory government.
