    Thanks for the video. I'm a beginner, just about 4 months into learning to play. Got some major problems - I'm going too deep with the pick into the strings, I'm picking the strings like "out of the guitar" instead of "into the guitar" and the attack is too poor, because I struggle with playing clean. And with the bad attack it's not like hitting the strings, but rubbing them instead and sound results in leaving the strings instead of hitting them...
    Difficult to explain, hope you got my idea.
    Would be amazing to have a video on these problems.

    Thanks for the lesson! Question: when alternate strumming power chords, do you change the angle of the pick for the up-strum compared to the downstrum? It just feels so weird to me when I hit the strings on the upward trajectory.

    interesting and well covered. You might also talk about the pick's hangling, ie straight for downstrokes, slightly slanted for "double croche" (1/16 ?)

    Brilliant explanation on palm muting and amp settings! Very helpful for beginners like me.
    I have a question.. it would be great if you can help.
    How does one connect a electric guitar to a multi effects pedal and then again to the amp? My doubt is that there is already gain option on the pedal and there is gain on the amp too. So how does this work?

    • @iserrebel666vish9

    hello, I have a stupid question, why is it that every one doing power chords F5, G5 or what ever, use's there pinky finger?? I don't get it. When you do a full major bar chord you put your third finger on the second string, pinky on the THIRD string and second finger on the 4th string. So when doing let's say an F5 why not use your third finger on that second string, it is used to being there anyway right?...hope you know what I mean....

    • @JamieSlays

      Funny isn’t it. Just preference

    • @JamieSlays
      @JamieSlays  4 роки тому

      HAha for me it’s random. Sometimes I’ll use my pinky sometimes ring. It’s just preference. I think Kirk hammett always uses pinky

      @christineblack4654 4 роки тому

      @@JamieSlays ah ah aww that Kirk :) I wanna be cool and use the pinky like everyone else but it's like impossible, I have done it with my third finger all my life before I even had a computer so my brain or fingers just don't do it on auto pilot. I must really think about it.
