Hey there KJ! I bought your plans and parts list about 6 months ago, haven't gotten around to starting the project just yet. My biggest issue so far has been trying to find A arms. my understanding is that I cannot use two sets of front A arms for this build (front A arms in the front and front A arms in the back). That being the case, Is there a different ATV model i could find IRS a arms that would fit your plans? I am also curious what the eye-to-eye measurement is for the shocks used. The reason I ask all this is I have found it extremely difficult to find a polaris 525 IRS in any useable condition, and the rear suspension parts are equally as difficult to find it seems. if you know of any places to find them that I don't know about, that would be much appreciated!
Hey, thank you for joining in on the fun! Rear a-arms are included in the plans. They have worked great on everyones builds. The shocks are roughly 16” eye to eye but the chassis is pretty easy going as far as shock mounting so they don’t meed to be a specific length. You can use polaris predator front shocks on all four corners as they are very similar to the outlaw shocks. I’ve been picking them up for under $100 each on ebay. The ktm 525 is definitely my favorite but all kinds of different engines have been used with great success. I hope you get started soon, we all love new builds!
This is the best video I’ve ever seen in a while. This guy here is someone who truly wants to show someone how to do something because every other video you could find someone trying to do this is spending thousands of dollars or is not showing you how to do it correctly this man here is an example of someone who could do something correctly and cost-effectively. I was gonna build one of these over the summer, and I had no clue where to start but this man here showed me how to get started correctly and at the same time it looks pretty cost effective so if the man who made this video sees this, I would love to say thank you and you could truly do good work in the world
These are awesome! I've dreamed a lot about opening up a karting place with karts like these on a dirt track with a bunch of features. I think it would be so cool! Almost exactly the types of karts i was envisioning!
Well the chassis is definitely made to be a blank canvas for whatever you are dreaming of. So many different builds with their own personality from the chassis. Check the description for a link to downloadable plans to get a huuuuge head start. Enjoy the build 👍
Love it! That thing rips! Love seeing people fabricate things instead of just buying. Great job, looked like you really enjoyed building it. I can't decide what I want to build next myself...
brilliant.....every petrol heads dream / fun"". Great choice of engine. I like everything you have done. My own preference would be keeping stock carbs air box & exhaust, instead of air filter pods.
Wow that is absolutely crazy. I am looking to build something like this using your blue print. Could you approximately tell me what each thing cost. Because I don't want to spend money on the blue print and then find out I can't afford it. Also how long of a time did it take. But great job! Work Of Art. Looking forward from hearing from you.
Man they are so fun!!! Fun to build along with fun to drive. All of the info you are looking for is on the channel. This is a well documented build and I walk you through every step to build yours. Here is a video to get you started… ua-cam.com/video/2hvp7eO6W2s/v-deo.html In short these can be built for under 2k all the way up to whatever you can afford. My average build cost for the ones with gears is around $6k. Enjoy the build 🦾
Thank you so much i’m studing car design in Spain and my dream is to have a workshop like yours, I think your designs are awesome. Here are a lot of restrictions to do this kind of things…😪
Hey man nice carts i just picked up a project someone else started and was going to the scrap yard would like to know were you ordered the shift linkage from
I absolutely LOVE what you did on this Kart. I've got a rebuilt R1 engine that I'd love to put in something like this... but I don't have the welding or fabrication skills/tools to do it. Wish I knew where I could buy a frame that would let me drop my motor into!
Thank you! When it comes to fabrication, the hardest part is to start. Once you bend, notch and weld your first piece it's all downhill. It's extremely difficult to make a roller because there are sooo many different engines out there. Take a crack at starting fab work, you won't be disappointed, and I show you everything step by step. I wish you the best!
Thank you so much! This is not a business. It is my hobby that I’m sharing at the request of like-minded garage builders. So many guys want a project like this so I was happy to help out.
You’re going to either have to get your hands dirty or pay a whole lotta $$$. The builds you are seeing are the guys jumping in. The guys with money are buying sierra cars. The hardest part is to start 🦾

@KJ Raycing awesome!! I'll be ordering the plans in a few weeks then. I'll send an email with the completed build if my knuckles still work by then 🤣 plan to have it 'street legal' to use as my daily to work and probably an electronic regulator for the kids to be able to drive on the weekends.
Very cool. The only thing I would have done differently. Make adjustable shock mounts on the top side. Moving them out to a more upright position (might help out for different tracks) will give you maximum spring pressure. One more thing. No background music when your driving. Well that is the beauty of this, you can build it however you want 😁. I did the math on the suspension before I mounted it if you check the channel. I’ve been driving this for over 2 years and couldn’t be happier with the setup; mounted outboard the shocks are a little stiffer and there is less travel with lower ground clearance for smooth/asphalt. Mounted inboard softens the shocks a little, increases travel and clearance for rough/off-road. Exactly as I had planned. You have a lot of good insight on how to make everyone else’s anything better. Maybe you should start your own channel and do some builds so everyone can leave comments like yours to “help” you… Thank you for the “very cool” compliment, and I ask you SHOW us the rest of your comment to back up your theories 👍 I wish you the best.

You're living my dream here! Amazing build
Thank you! It’s been my dream for almost 20 years, I’m glad I finally got to do it. 👍

This is my dream as well.
just pure talent. i enjoyed watching the process
It is one of the coolest dads I've ever seen. Good luck. Amazing projects. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much. I love building these things so much!

Thank you! There are lots of people piecing together their own works from the plans too, that’s my favorite part.
These are awesome!
I've dreamed a lot about opening up a karting place with karts like these on a dirt track with a bunch of features.

13:44 lol i really like this shot, it looks like the intro of a anime, awesome project

Nice work. You have inspired me to get back to the workshop and finish my cross cart. Its been sitting to long but not anymore.
Heck yeah man! You will be so happy when you finish it. A lot of the things I use on my karts can be used on most home builts.
Same, going on 3 years now
Хорошая техника получается, сбалансированная!
veramente cazzuta la dima per il montaggio, complimenti!!!
Those frames with the shifter setup. SICK.
Holy shit, this thing is bad ass!!!! Great job man!!!

Came for the car build and got amazed by your driving skills and the place you live. its beautiful. cheers.
Super envious! I have a ton of ideas, but not a shop to bring them alive!! Well see, maybe one day.
Set goals! I slowly built my shop up over 15 years to be able to do this stuff.
Love it! That thing rips! Love seeing people fabricate things instead of just buying. Great job, looked like you really enjoyed building it. I can't decide what I want to build next myself...
God the drifting on those are nutty. Must have spent all week ripping around in them.
Thanks man! The drifting and controllability is absolute insane! We rip on them whenever we get the chance! Start building yours and come play 🦾
AMAZING BUILD very talented
you are the man when it comes to fabricating hope one day I can meet somebody like you to teach me how to fabricate
Thank you so much. I try to show you guys everything from idea to design to fabrication so I hope you are learning a lot!
That one with the pushrod suspension is super cool!
Oh I know! He is so close to running it for the first time, all of us in the facebook build group are anxiously waiting.

what a great episode! love the shifter you did for it, really great idea using heim joints and locking colors!

Muito bacana projeto de vcs muito bem feito

Very cool.
The only thing I would have done differently.
Make adjustable shock mounts on the top side. ( 3 or 4 different positions 1 .5 inches apart)
You have alot of mechanical leverage working against the coils in you current setup.
Moving them out to a more upright position (might help out for different tracks) will give you maximum spring pressure.
One more thing. No background music when your driving.
We want to hear the engine noise.
